Total Film recently interview former Green Goblin Willem Dafoe and he didn’t have many nice things to say about the recent Amazing Spider-Man film. He hasn’t seen the film, but that didn’t stop him from having an opinion about it.
“I saw a trailer for the first Spider-Man reboot and I thought, ‘This is crazy! It’s not shot for shot, but it’s the same story,’” Dafoe told us. “I thought, ‘This is sort of a cynical approach to making money!’”
I’m growing too old for these kind of debates. But we can all agree it was better than the Transformers movies. And Yogi Bear… MOVING ON!!!
@#12 No, but it did have a goomba from the Super Mario movie.
At least TASM didn<t have the green power ranger in it.
Don’t anybody tell him about “Psycho”!
Agree with #9. The movie had some plot issues and the the fact that it was unfortunately a reboot. But the action was good, and the characters were charming. Better than the Raimi films. At least in my oppinion.
@8 – We’ll have to agree to disagree. I thought TASM was great, as good as SM1. It did some things better than SM1, just like SM1 did some things better than TASM.
TASM was a lousy movie… I wish I didn’t have to say that… I want my Spider-Man movies to rock… but this one didn’t. He says he didn’t see it… I kinda wish I didn’t neither. 🙁
Ok George.
“I didn’t see it…”

The same story? You don’t say!
It couldn’t be that they were based off the same comic book, could it??!!
Aren’t 99% of Hollywood movies made solely for the art, not thinking about profit? Don’t disillusion me about tineseltown!
As opposed to the Raimi films which were purely made for reasons of art, of course!
Perfectly said by the main man himself!
The movie also was lousy.
