Writer David Morrell announced on his Twitter account that his Spider-Man story called “Frost” will be published in a new volume of Peter Parker: Spider-Man. No word if this is an ongoing series or mini-series. Morrell is the writer of First Blood which inspired the Rambo movie. He also wrote a Captain America mini series a few years ago called “The Chosen.”
My SPIDER-MAN: FROST comic-book project comes out in October as the first 2 issues of a new comic book called PETER PARKER: SPIDER-MAN!

You have made some decent points there. I looked on the
web to learn more about the issue and found most people
will go along with your views on this site.
Howdy, i read your blog from time to time and i own a similar one and i was just wondering
if you get a lot of spam feedback? If so how do
you protect against it, any plugin or anything
you can suggest? I get so much lately it’s driving me crazy so any support is very much appreciated.
oh my god…. a series with Peter Parker and not that insufferable asshat SpOck?!!! SOLD!!!!
Looks like I’ll be breaking my promise of not buying another Spider-Man comic ever again, now I can just say I’ll never buy another issue with Ock
@15 – I think #156 should be next. I know that Marvel published a #156.1 during Spider-Man’s anniversary month last August, but the last issue of PPSM was vol.2 #57 (= vol.1 #155). Unless I missed an issue? “Sensational Spider-Man” also had a few anniversary issues, but they were numbered 33.1 and 33.2, after the last issue of the first volume. That just always confused me with PPSM. I feel like I missed something.
I hope they keep going with the original numbering… I think #158 is next…
Call me when he’s back to normal in his REGULAR book.
@12 – Now tell us that we want comics to be like they were when our mothers were alive, Mr. Waid.
Oh you all are so negative. Hahaha
I have The Chosen Mini with all of them signed by Mitch Breitweiser (the artist of the series). I liked it so hopefully his take on spidey is good.
I’m with the idea that this is like the Spider-Man version of Savage Wolverine. Plus it’s not by Dan Slott, so that’s a nice bonus.
Bait… hook..
Well, at least that means we can read a Spider-Man story with Peter Parker behind the mask. The way it should be in my humble opinion. I am hoping for a return of Pete but it is probably an anthology title or something in that direction. I am afraid we’re going to have to wait a long time before Peter Parker is back for good. The clone saga took about three years or so.
Tentative Yay! Hopefully its an ongoing and he’s coming back in some form… Unless its like the Spider-man’s sister thing in which case Boo!
This sounds like a mini-series to me but not an ongoing. Sort of like Waid’s GN or Zeb Wells thing
A non-superior spider-man book? I like it already.
Has he written any other comics than that Cap mini series?
My guess is this is an anthology title with a loose relationship to continuity, similar to the current Savage Wolverine book. Could be good if they get decent creators. But yes, this is one solution for people who want at least one book a month with PP as Spidey.
So is Peter coming back or is Marvel just punking us again? Cos goddamn it we need at least one Spider-Book with Peter Parker.
