Ravencroft in Amazing Spider-Man 2

Amazing Spider-Man director Marc Webb posted a picture on his Twitter account hinting that the Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane will appear in the upcoming sequel. In the comics, villains go to Ravencroft to get treated by Dr. Ashley Kafka. Or at least they did until Kafka got sentenced to the Slottuillotine. Maybe with some bed rest and plenty of fluids her case of death will clear right up in time for the film.

Note that the Ravencroft directory includes a room for “voltage cells.” Does that have something to do with Electro?

You know prison overcrowding has gotten serious when the voltage cell room is also used for medical inspection lock-up.

  1. I thought maybe the room numbers might be eggs for comic issues, but couldn’t find any obvious connection.

  2. Or voltage cells could mean the cells are built with something to do with electricity as a safety measure, like tasers.
Hopefully there’s a cameo of Rhys Ifans. Evil lizard aside, Doc is still Peter’s friend.

  3. Hufflepuff?
Oh, only after typing the name of another house of Gryffindor I remembered that house is Ravenclaw

    Nice (Easter Egg, maybe?) touch
