We this is the first time that I listen to your pod cast and it was awesome. And I just want to say something about the thing of the quote in the movie of great power and great responsibility thing, I don’t know if anyone but me noticed that it was more like Ultimate spiderman way.. because when I watched the movie I thought damn it was too Michael Bendis.
I just listened to this pod cast, which was great as usual, and had a few comments.
First, I agree with most about the whole re-numbering thing. This has got to be my Least favorite gimmick in comicdom. I hate it. Give me a hologram cover any day that will fit seamlessly right in between #s 700 & 702.
2nd I believe it was Brad who used the same quote that I did on the comment section on the #700 variants. Who the heck would spend thousands of dollars to get all the variants for #700 instead of using that money to buy a Amazing #1 or Fantasy 15? Anyone? Anyone??
3rd I agree with whoever said it; Yes, Gerry Conway is a Murderer.. LOL Look every one is entitled to their opinion, But Gerry’s was wrong. ; ) and I just wish he wouldn’t have shoved his down our throat.
It always irritates me when writers talk about characters as if the characters somehow just are what they are, and the writers are helpless to change them. If Gwen Stacy was a weak character, that was (first) Lee’s fault for watering her down from her original upper-class 4.0 GPA slightly-snobbish self, then Conway’s fault for making lame excuses. It wasn’t like Gwen had independent existence.
Lightning fast! Here was thinking I’d have to wait for my monthly dose of Crawl Space awesomeness.
