Is it jredline, jlredline, or jiredline?
… WHAT?!?!? The killed off Miles Morales already??!?! [/sarcasm]
Anyone think they will bring back Curt Connors or is that line from the solicits in ASM 691 just a red herring?
Okay, it’s probably just me being a teenager and seeing innuendo in everything, but I should rephrase what I just said: “Amazing Spidey(for lack of a better term) looks a bit too stiff, etc.” 😛
@Don-Amazing Spidey’s(for lack of a better term) a bit too stiff, but yeah, that is a cool cover. In fact, all of these covers are awesome, looks like my phone’s gonna have some new wallpapers!
And man, I better setup a pull list or something, I’m gonna be buying a loooot of stuff.
@4: 694 should be the start of the Hobgoblin arc, so we’ll be seeing him again soon.
Are they ever going to do anything with Urich again? It seems Slott has forgotten all about Hobgoblin with all of these events being thrown at us. I mean, what was even the point of bringing him (and Kraven for that matter) back if the writers don’t have any plans for them? It was a pointless move doing both, it seems, I never agree with bringing a character back just to leave him until a future writer thinks of something to do.
I honestly have to agree. I’ve complained about Ramos’ art style, but #692 looks remarkable for Ramos.
jiredline will get a kick out of the summer issues of Avenging because it has Carol Danvers.
Avengers vs. X-Men #9 looks incredibly awesome, and is really helping make Jim Cheung one of my favorite artists. I don’t like the Stegman cover for issue #10 though, but fortunately he’s not handling the interiors.
Speaking of Jim Cheung, while I liked his initial cover for Spider-Men, there’s a problem with his cover for issue #4, namely the eyes on Peter. I’ve seen him draw those eyes before, and the white pupil on black sclera thing doesn’t work for me. I get that it’s supposed to convey sadness, but it just looks odd to me.
I’m a bit skeptical about the 50th Anniversary Series, but I like that they’re inserting .1 issues for the older books.
Despite my nitpicks, I think that this is shaping up to be a good month for the Spidey, which is good because this is the month meant to celebrate his 50th anniversary.
Aw, nuts. Two Avenging issues in August? 🙁
Really digging the Ramos cover!
