Evidently this is the suit Director Sam Raimi rejected for the first Spider-Man movie. Do you like it better or did they go with the right one?

This would have been muuuuuuuuuuch better. … in my opinion.
Who knows. All I can say is it looks great. Buts a different movie if you use that.
#13> Why does Spidey’s suit exist?
Again, the mask they actually went with in the movie was never explained. I doubt it was part of a military suit, because I can’t see the Pentagon dressing soldiers up as goblins. That mask had no origin, didn’t need one. Neither would this mask.
It does look better, but in the story I can’t see a reasonable explanation for it to exist. At least with the movie suit, it’s metal and part of a military outfit.
Looks spooky. Like the comic, too.
Pretty cool. They should of gone with this one.
I agree with Rick @10
I love it but it may not have translated to film well. Neither did the power ranger mask though.
Other than the eyes and the ridiculous ears, it might have worked. But realistically, the armor was a more reasonable approach IMO.
To quote Mayor Quimby “WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!”
I prefer the body armor; it made the movie much more realistic in my opinion.

Somebody just texted me this and its up on CS at the same time…was this video just released?
Even if we assume that this would have been a mask in the movie and not some transformation of Osborn’s body then it wouldve required a lot of tinkering with the script in order to explain its use over the largely military costume they went with. It would have been interesting to see how this change would have affected the end product…probably wouldve been for the better.
The mask itself is kind of a little big and awkward looking but I still like it better than then costume from they ended up going with.
@Agent Michigan – Everything else was probably just for effects. It is a green screen test, after all.
Keep the mask, get rid of everything else.
I really dig it! It’s creepy and I think Dafoe could’ve made it work! Cool to see what could’ve been…
To be fair, we don’t know that Raimi’s rejected it. There are a whole host of possible reasons this one wasn’t used.
It would have been awesome though to see such a faithful goblin on screen as Apple’s to the one we got (which was the only flaw with the movie). Could have been worse though, it could have been the abomination of changes to the source material that we are seeing from that horrible looking new movie.
looks like davros from dr who
This makes me sad… so much better than the Power Ranger bad guy suit
