1. *Yawn* Back to Fight Club and the impending Douglas Classic. Those are my thoughts on the matter. 🙂

2. Guys, don’t you give free publicity to CBR, and that idiot who posted the comment, by making it front page news? Isn’t that a bit… counter productive?
   Beside, worst thing to happen to the fandom was the Brick of the devil. Nothing can top that. Exept diluting the character by shoving him in 3 teams, countless guest-starring role and Bendis’ Avengers…

4. I have to say, I really don’t care.
   It’s one poster,mind you, someone with less then 300 posts.
   I say you leave it alone and be done with it,you cant go and find all your haters and trolls and post them saying “Look,see people said something bad”
   I really have never seen any well known fan site do that,especially the ones that are top line such as this one.
   and I relise I’m not taking the “this site rocks route, whats his problem?!”
   but my bottom line is, this wasn’t slott or anyone saying stuff,or maybe its related, i don’t know, but this dosnt belong on the front page.
   It deserves a simple topic at best.

8. This really is the best Spidey site on the web(pun intended). What other site and/or podcast has Spider-Jepordary? Has other sites’ Webmaster been able to get Stan Lee, Ron Franz, Tom Defalco, and Sal Busema, along with other creators that I’m probably forgetting, on the same podcast? Crawlspace is the only one that I know of. Just because we exercise our freedom of speech on topics, we get branded as the worst fan site……..That’s just wrong!!!!

    Hey every site has its odd posts like these. Besides its kinda odd to list this as something you don’t like about this site when posts like these are rarely ever made on the front page anyway. Mostly things like advertisements for upcoming marvel things, podcasts and reveiws are on the main page.

15. This is what I dont like about crawlspace. The only purpose of this post is to continue the hate and anger (especially toward CBR). Its the internet.

    if you want to be a reputable site, you should not have to make a post about a simple forum post from someone else’s site. Just ignore it. Be the better man.

16. This is just another hater hating! The fact are that this site is the best spider-man period. As many have said before me, it is that fact that brad let us speak are minds that make this one of the best site on the web. like George and Mike said, the fact that they are hating show that we are doing something right.

19. The site itself is good with interviews and previews that board though, i don’t know what there mods are doing but i’ve only been to 2 boards like that Marvels and i can’t even remeber the other one

21. Since it is Brad’s site, it’s within his right to post this on the front page if he feels it’s important. I would however say that this isn’t. No one should really care what others think of them, and CBR’s badmouthed the Crawlspace before. Not really worth talking about.

    I may have not been here as long as others, but this is one of the best websites I’ve ever seen. Not just the best Spider-Man site, the members here are so friendly, the people who head the site are even better. So how dare someone insult us like that! They don’t even know what there talking about.

23. I like Crawlspace as much as the next guy, but you took what someone posted about the site on some other message board, something a JUNIOR MEMBER posted, and made a news item out of it? Why bother? Someone on another message board insulted your site, move on.

25. I’d like to see the “evidence” of us being nasty. We’ve been mostly discussing the Marvel movies and the DCnU of late anyway, not how wrong Steve Wacker is. 😛

    1) it’s my site
    2) I thought it would generate some comments.
    3) The guy took a shot at my site I’m defending it by having people take him to task . If you’ve worked on something for 13 years and built it from the ground up you get defensive when someone insults your work.

32. Does it really surprise anyone that people over at CBR does not like the crawlspace? They have posters changing their handles to their real names just so Slott and Wacker can take them seriously.

34. I gotta agree with ChaosInc. While I love the Crawlspace, and regularly check the front page and the message board, one guy saying this is an awful site, to me, isn’t really front page worthy. That’s just what I think,anyway.

35. Not surprising. Plenty of people from CBR came to the CrawlSpace and couldn’t handle the rules which are solidly adhered to on this site. They got banned…and harbour a grudge.
    This site is better than CBR anyways!

36. Why is this here? Seriously this is something to post on the message board, it’s not news.

    A poster on another board says they don’t like the Crawlspace and this is somehow front page news? It’s not like someone at Marvel said it, or that it was a main topic on CBR, it’s just one post by some random guy on the internet. One post responding to someone else that’s it, not even followed up by any discussion or other people going “yeah he’s right!” People on that board ignored him and why can’t we do the same?

37. I say we challenge them to a duel! Their best vs our best haha, I think we can teach them a lesson or two about fandom 😉

    Just like my mother used to say, If ya can’t say something nice about someone…post it anonymously on a message board without evidence!

39. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:

    The Crawlspace is not only the best Spider-Man website around, but it also houses the best community I’ve found ANYWHERE. The mods are awesome, the forum is the most fun that can be found anywhere (legally, at least), and I’ve met plenty of people here I’d be glad to call my friends…nay, family. The forum rules clearly state that, although negative opinions are free to be voiced, personal attacks will not be tolerated. That’s a lot of the reason I love coming here so much. I can read and participate in page after page of interesting debates, without having to wade through post after post of childish name-calling and insults. That’s why I visit this site more than any other website…PERIOD.

    I truly don’t care what anyone has to say about this site anywhere else. It doesn’t change my opinion in the slightest.
    I’m proud to call myself a Crawlspace Addict for the past 2 years. My only regret is that I didn’t find it sooner.

41. To be fair, as far as I can tell, CBR didn’t say anything about the Crawlspace. That was just one poster.

    Also if a creator personally insults a poster it will get them a warning and potentially banned too. That’s why Wacker was banned after three warnings and Slott had a warning before he left. Slott told a fan to “F-themselves” over at CBR. lol
