USA Today is giving us a look at the new Amazing Spider-Man toys. This in my opinion is one of the main reasons they changed the toys, to sell even more of them. What are your thoughts? The air guitar one cracks me up.

Epic Failure!!! I don’t care how possible it is, the toy sucks! the paint job looks homemade and the head and eyes looks like they will pop off. Movie figures usually suck any how (dumbs ass Thor) but this is corny.
Costume still looks like complete shit.
Actually, it looks better than the Tron/FF/Spider Armor he’s wearing now. Well, the toy does, anyway. Needs two fists, or two thwipp hands… not one and one.
Costume still sucks! UGH!
@Enigma_2099: Okay, cool. I have my fig in a box somewhere, so I couldn’t compare. However, that just confirms that this one will actually be crappier. 😉
@Gerard Delatour II
Nope, just pulled mine out… the FIGURE, you dope, not my… nevermind.
Raimi’s figure actually has an ab crunch AND an ab swivel. Extra joints in the shoulder sockets BOTH hands have articulated fingers, believe it or not, he can actually do the THWIPP pose.
Nope, not the same figure.
Hey, wait a second … that looks like THE EXACT SAME SCULPT as the “super-articulated” Raimi Spider-Man toy, but repainted. I’m not kidding around. Somebody needs to do a side-by-side comparison. 😆
Well…at least the black crotch stain is gone!
Wow… now compare this to the current Spider-man toys they’re shoveling out. They actually had to put a little effort into it just to get you to care. I mean look… MORE ARTICULATION! Something we’ve been begging for for so long… and they add it to a figure we may not care that much about.
If this thing winds up being 6 inches tall(Marvel Legends size), then I’ll know for a fact they’re trying to sucker ME into buying one… and it won’t work.
Maybe the silver slippers allow the toy to do stunts as well…;)
Kinda digging it.
Ugh, I guess these toys confirm the silver slippers and phallicness that is the front of Spidey’s suit without the red strip part to go around his waist and cut off that red chunk going down his chest. Seriously, that red part of his outfit is just so awkward to look at.
I think the toy looks pretty bad… ass. =)
The silver booties made it onto the toy… so I guess they weren’t just for the stunts… that’s a bummer. May actually wind up passing on the movie toy for once
