“Cut ties with the Avengers”??? but what about my reviews :-/
BD, the movie you were thinking of in the beginning is called Hall Pass. I’m sure by now you’ve seen tons of commercials promoting it by now though.
Wizard magazine: “A comic about magazines”… I read a couple of them back in the day. I really enjoyed their “casting call” section back in the 90s where they picked their dream cast for comic movies.
I agree that Spider-Man is a very sciencey based book at times and should follow some basic science principles, but I think the location of a shuttle launch in the world of Marvel shouldn’t be that big of a deal. I mean, you’re talking about Marvel-New York city where they have a Hellicarrier floating above the city at all times… why wouldn’t they have an airforce base close by? I’m sure they have shuttles that can launch further away from the equator in their world too.
I don’t know much about Ayn Rand beyond the influence she had on Bioshock, but a quick google search turned this up concerning the Looter: “Those of you who have suffered through reading Ayn Rand’s magnum opus “Atlas Shrugged” know what a looter is – A government or government assisted company, who loots the general treasury for personal gain while taxing both the average person and non-favored companies to death.”
Great podcast guys, made the last hour of work a bit more tolerable, thanks
Where do you find all these wonderful intro songs?
