New Venom is Flash. Duh!
I miss the original Venom.
The Problem: Who will be waiting for issue 654.05 or 654.025? It’s confusing numbering right there.
To the guy who said we have too many jumping on points, I consider EVERY issue a jumping on point. However when we have a focused initiative like this, it’s not a bad idea marketing-wise to explicitly point it out for retailers and readers. Sorry it upsets you.
Also the solicit is wrong (probably my fault). Humberto is drawing this issue. Paulo did the cover and the backup in 654 that leads into this issue.
I know who Venom is! The Hunchback of Notre Dame! Damn, another Disney tie-in…
It’s Bulbasaur! “Bulba!”
Yes, apparently he will be a “good guy” and will be an opperative for the U.S government in his own ongoing series…….

thanks, CRM!
I’ve heard rumors that the new Venom is suppose to be a good guy.
And yeah, I’d wish they would go back to his classic look already. :/
@Javi Trujillo
My understanding is that there is just issue 651.1, they just added the .1 to it for the purpose of trying to get new readers.
my thought is that the new Venom news won’t reach 500 comments! Am i correct that there is a 651, a 651.1 and a 652, thereby giving Marvel a chance to renumber to the “true” number of issues and jump from say 695 to 700 without printing issues 696-699 if that is what they decided on? Not saying that that is their plan, but just a possibility they can renumber. Or is 651.1 an expanded version of 651, a double dip if you will?
@Andrew
Yeah thats what I thought too, but the .1 thing isn’t just for Spider-man, it will be on other titles as well. But yeah, the first thing I thought was why didn’t they plan the start of Big Time to be the .1 issue…..seems like that would have made more sense.
@9
CRM, I thought the beginning of ‘Big Time’ was their (new) jumping on point. They have TWO jumping on points within 5 issues of each other? Oye.
I miss Mark Bagley’s Venom. The whole .1 thing is a thing Marvel is running with several titles, it’s supposed to mark a good jumping on point for people to start reading those titles or something.
Did Venom just escape prison or something?
Just another crappy looking phony Venom. 🙁
651.1?
Usually I like Paolo Siqueira’s art but his Venom is waaay too huge.
Wow… that’s one run-on sentence.
Although inflatable licorice man behind Spider-Man is marked as being a no overtaking zone with compact car parking spaces on each arm, since he is private property people driving on his mile-wide torso should treat road markings as advisory not mandatory and note that no demerit points can be taken from their licence for disobeying the markings, although there may be civil penalties exacted by the body corporate which administers the grotesquely misproportioned frame on which they are motoring.
It’s #654.1 supposed to be considered part of #654?
Oh no. Not another gimmick. Is .1 going to be the new #0? And the Venom just looks like the Mac Gargan Venom.
