I’m so bummed I didn’t get to go to this. I had tickets for last Saturday nights show, hotel room booked, days taken off work- then they cancel it a coupla weeks prior.
That was at least the third time the show had been cancelled on me. I think my original ticket was for December of last year.
Course, I do think the play will eventually show, I did go to Times Square last weekend and they do have a healthy chunk of Spidey banners and signs out there.
The only way anyone will be able to enjoy the musical is to accept it on its own terms. It’s not going to be the comic come to life; the show creators don’t intend it to be. It’s intended to be a fever dream, the Spider-Man mythos turned on its head. It’ll only be a creative failure only if it fails to accomplish its own goals. Time will tell.
I don’t go into stuff with the purpose of being negative but… even the spider-man suit is not good! I don’t understand what is happening with the eyes! On a postitive note the stunts look to be good
