  1. The Paolo Rivera cover is OUTSTANDING! This gut should be the regular artist on the Spider-Man title.

  2. Oh look, another lame story in this crapped on continuity. They think they can lump in a bunch of classic Spidey villains (as if they haven’t done that a billion times anyway) and we’ll come crawling back (pun intended)? Hardly.

  3. @Extreme Spider, the Hitch Green Goblin from the variant cover for DR Secret Invasion is a pretty solid…i think that’s what he’s goin for here, i just think the Goblin looks a little screwy b/c he’s taking a shot to the jaw…to each his own though 🙂 …as far as the babys gender it is known (i won’t spoil it here, but Ock says it at the end of ASM 642), but everyone in 642 still thinks its Norman’s child though, thats why im confused about this teaser…

  4. @Doc,I Gotta Disagree I Don’t Really Like The Green Goblin In This Picture. Also Does This Mean Harry Is Back In Costume To Save His Little Brother Or Is Norman Saving His 4th Kid? Either Way Why Would They Be Attacking Spider-Man If He’s Helping To Save Him/Her?Did We Find The Gender Of The Damn Kid?

  5. The covers look great and I love Bryan Hitch but I’ve never seen him draw a good Spidey. Whenever he pops up in one of his books it always looks weird. Maybe it’s just his style that doesn’t mesh well with Spidey.

  6. @George Berryman: Let’s hope so. the original costume while made out of cheese still holds a candle to the heart.

  7. Probably not George, if you look you’ll see Doc Ock is also in his pre diaper days, it’s probably just a classic pose

  8. This isn’t as much of a teaser as it once would have been. Variant covers aren’t worth much alone, and the story sounds like a remake of ‘Spider-man 3’, the movie that broke the back of those films, and I’m not in a hurry to see that again. Not to mention that Spidey have had so many “Toughest fights” over the years, that is has lost any meaning in terms of how hard the battle will actually be.

  9. Two Things.
    1. “to save Harry’s child”…?? I guess Norman didn’t knock her up…did everyone else know that already? I know i’ve been off the boards for a while but i didn’t know they gave that info away already…

    2. I love that villains pic…minus Spidey, his leg is in such a weird position its kind of silly looking…but the rest of the crew looks great…

  10. “Great epic” and “Amazing Spider-Man” seems such an oxymoron these
    past few years. . .
