1. Slott as the single writer has to be good, no conflict of everyone elses interest this time he can do things his way, So looking forward to carnage returning, but i hope he is darker more sadistic and really twisted, after all Cassady was a freaking nut bar. Dream job… meh! i agree he’ll never keep it. Don’t care about MJ at all give Pete someone new and interesting with a secret of her own, not necessarily like the black cat, you know super hero herself but something new. New costume’s would be nice but we all know he’ll switch back to the ol’ Red ‘n’ Blue eventually, he always does. I hope Ben makes an appearance or two, Ben is one of the most interesting characters in the book just because of his confusion with who he is and who he wants to be. The sinister Six ALWAYS return, nothing new there. And more of Kraven, who cares he lacks a hook, there’s nothing to him than hunting and being really obtuse. I want to see carnage really make things a living hell for Peter, give peter a villain he has to really push himself for. And if Pete joins the F4 I’m going to punch someone, because no one wants to see Spidey take orders and work for someone else. And as for the Hobgoblin, a long overdue return but they have to get it right or it will be a waste of such an epic character. I would love to see Deadpool and Spidey work together, but not like #611 that was freaking terrible, they were reduced to your mama jokes and that was a waste of two great characters in such a good situation.

4. I am going to still have to agree with Kassady86 till Mary Jane and Peter are together again, I don’t want or wish to read my favorite comic book character’s exploits. It does seem cool though that Marvel will still have May “MayDay’s” Spider-Girl stories maybe I’ll still stick around to see what come to light in that way of things. If they change their minds of keeping Marriage separate from the main books this would be the greatest way to go as well because it has worked well in Spider-Girl’s titles.

   I find it funny that this quote is right next to FF Spidey, because in the first issue he tried to join up with them.

Ill admit Dan Slott is a good writer, and i dont buy Brand New Day, the only stories ive read are the explanation of Harrys Death, the meeting of Barack Obama, the first story of Brand New Day, the adventures of Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four in the Macroverse, and now OMIT. I read Amazing only in the interest of the answers to One More Day.

   I read these comics for free, without paying and with a terrible status quo like this, they are a waste of my time.

   After OMIT, ill continue to be a fan of Spider-Man just not in his mainstream comics.

   The Gauntlet is just crap you guys have always wanted that they should have done a long time ago. All those stories could have been done during the Howard Mackie era, or the era of other Spider-Man books in the early 2000s and even further.

   Black Cat sleeps with Spider-Man, a concept thats been way WAY overplayed. Spider-Man isnt the type to sleep with random women, hes supposed to be in a relationship when doing this kind of crap. I mean hes been with Mary Jane in the original timeline and hasnt slept with any other woman since he WAS married. So in this new reality how he could just NOW be sleeping with other women like a Man-Whore.

   In terms of the Vulture, i dont remember Peter Parker EVER doctoring photos and compromising his Photojournalist integrity to save the life of someone hes supposed to call Brother In Law, it still leaves a disturbing taste in my mouth. Aunt May shouldnt be alive, because even she agreed she wanted to die and move on. By saving her life using Mephisto or any other explanation to do so, he disrespected his Aunt Mays wishes. If she was never going to come out of that coma, than why not pull the plug the same way you would a child on a feeding tube with a majority of his brain cells Dead.

   Another Captain Universe Story REALLY? and its not even Peter Parker. Juggernaut may as well become Captain Universe. Theyd be doing something new with him alright.

   Spider-Man gets stung by a version of Scorpion and temporarly loses his powers, like that hasnt been done before. If we want to talk about Spider-Man losing his powers, heres an idea for the explanation behind an ongoing comicbook, SOMEBODY EXPLAIN HOW PETER LOST HIS POWER FROM THE OTHER!!!!!!!!!

   Grim Hunt, Spider-Characters being hunted and killed, WOW HOW MANY characters actually stay dead in comics,
   Ruining Kravens last Hunt by ressurecting him, UHM People seem to have ignored a very powerful story called Soul of the Hunter.

   As a fan of the MC2 Spider-Girl i feel like ive punched in the face twice by Joe Quesada and Marvel Editorial when it comes to giving an unpopular Mainstream Spider-character, the titile “Spider-Girl”.

   1 punch for cancelling Spider-Girl
   And the other for using her name to promote a mainstream title you guys are going to eat up and keep sales going for.

   AND BEN RILEY IS NOT COMING BACK!!! His status is as much updatable as Gwen Stacys.

   WOW, a couple of announcements and you fanboys get hyped for whatever good you think might come of this comic.

   If you guys are complaining about the Book, DONT BUY IT!! I like this website but sometimes the fans who complain about something they keep buying insults my intelliegence.
   This sentence applies to all the fanboys getting angry about OMIT, i am pissed about it but i wont change my mind the blink of a second just because of some announcements that dont even progress the storylines. These characters will never die, never go anywhere so im having a hard time believing and wondering why i should be impressed with the new Spider-Man books. I admit if theres one thing about Amazing ill always enjoy, it is trying to find the older stories from the 90s era, and Clone Saga, and anything from the late 70s, and all of the 80’s.

   At least the writers on the X-Men franchise can write stories and hype them for a reason, even without Jean Grey around.

   And as for the fans who are enjoying this crap after Brand New Day. I dont get your perspective. The garbage we got for 3 years like Jackpot, FREAK, PaperDoll, Anti-Venom, and Menace.

   The worst of OMIT, is now Peter and Mary Jane want to be friends. They want to start by talking about thier wedding day, as JUST friends. Pathetic.

   When it comes to the Ben Riley fans, i can relate. i myself am one and will definetly pre-order Shattered Dimensions and get that Scarlet Spider-Costume although to be honest, im having trouble choosing between his Negative Zone costume, and this. Im still gonna preorder at K-Mart. I hope that as long as Dan Slott is writing the script, he doesnt include any of this Brand New Day crap in the Amazing Universe.

    Finally they listen though with bringing back Carnage and Hobgoblin… it’s been too long since we’ve seen them.

13. Brand New Day is ENDING?! Praise be he who resides in the heavens! Ben Reilly may come back. MJ will be around more and Spidey new suits and his dream job. This is going to be a great year, with the status quo being shaken up for the better… wait a minute. That’s what happened with BND!!! This is bullshit!!

14. They don’t have anything for us.

    They spent so much time promising readers these big things that they never did anything with and never intended to make a big story out of. What does Marvel think stories are? ARe they big events or concepts. All those pictures look like concepts and not stories, becuase that’s Joe Quesada’s philosphy of Marvel ‘it doesn’t matter where we are, it matters where we are going’ and they change the characters to go with whatever concept that begins with. That’s why Peter Parker isn’t reconziable to a lot of us anymore. They put in all these things that makes it impossible for the new writers to do anything. I imagine they were told to write ‘nothing happens’ into the book. Two years down the road people will still say all that mess and Mary Jane will still be around. Woopee! Oh and nothing will happen. They keep acting like things are new and stuff happened even though it was either retconned or nothing big really happened. WHy do the largest things in the book get ignored? It’s just another distraction. No (again) they’ve got big things for us. No they don’t. That’s what Marvel does now, they just introduce something instead of playing stuff out then the next year or two they do it again and act like new stuff is happening… again. Look at the ‘New’ New Avengers books. How many years have they been doing that.

    Civil War was supposed the thing where ‘everything changed’ but now they act like it never happened. Man, it was terrible and I didn’t buy into a single thing in that book. It didn’t seem to be happening even as it was. So many readers still don’t buy that it was Tony Stark as himself acting like that. That is awful. What did Spider-man fans get? An story about everyone knowing who Spider-man was? Not really. I’ve never seen Marvel so intent on NOT giving what was promised. Sure the other two books got medial atempts to do that story. But it was awful. They should of done a big reveal and so when it IS taken away it means something and you can see it in the characters even if no one remembers it. Blah.

    People curse the clone saga. I read a book that had the words ‘The Return of the Amazing Spider-man’ on it SPider-man was named Ben Reilly. It was Spider-man except he bleached his hair and his name was Ben Reilly, but you knew who he was and you didn’t have stuff weighing on him. Hell, so many things were new to him that it would of been interesting for him to meet the old characters, to get his old job back. Old is new again. The writers were writing and not after fans were promised tons of stuff that was promised and NOT delivered on. Oh yeah, he was single and Aunt May was dead.

    That was good stuff. It’s just empty promises from around Civil War #2 on out and it made Amazing Spider-man a terrible book in my opinion. It’s just unreadable.

15. Some of it looks interesting…I’m happy about Gargan returning as Scorpion, Hobgoblin returning (long overdue), and the Sinister Six is always great. I have mixed feelings about Slott being the sole writer…some of his stuff has been really good, other times it doesn’t talk to me.

16. I like how there’s a 3rd arc with a status change. Didn’t we just do that.

17. A few of us like George, Thrawn and a few others mentioned how the only rabbits in the hat left to pull out for ASM were Hobgoblin, Carnage and a returning Gwen. Looks like two of the three were predicted correctly (not that I’d ever expect them to be gone forever). $3.99? Wow. If I hadn’t quit reading ASM months ago, this would definitely do it.

19. The idea of multiple costumes sounds kinda neat, just as long as it´s well done. I hope it is. :)And spidey has been a rotating member of the FF before, so I doubt that´s the “dream job”. I think some people are forgetting petes intrest in science? That would be a pretty logical dream job for him, as it would also benefit his web-slinging(maybe that´s how he makes the new costumes 😀 ). Carnage looked absolutely awesome, but hobgoblin looked a little bit off. Anyone wanna bet that the Osborn mini will be another “Amazing Spider-Man Presents:” ? 😀

22. As much as OMIT was going to make me drop the book… damn this pulls me back in. =/ The $3.99 I’m not too happy about; but with a whole 8 extra pages, lets see how well it does.

    I’m super excited about the Carnage news, and also.. maybe Cassidy will absorb the Venom symbiote? With Mac going back to the Scorp (thank you, Slott!!) and Brock as Aunty-Venom, something has to be done with it…

29. I’m stoked for Hobgoblin’s return, but not looking forward to Ramos drawing it. Seems they went very ‘cartoony’ with the choice of rotating artists: Martin, Ramos and Caselli.
