1. Thanks for taking the time to debate this, I really feel strongly about it and love studying extra on this topic. If attainable, as you gain experience, would you thoughts updating your weblog with further information? This can be very useful for me.

3. You guys watch smallville….devotedly. Don’t you? I’m not sure if I can trust your reviews of amazing spiderman anymore…….

   just joking. But seriously, smallville = not that great of a show. It usually has poor writing or plots that I thought you guys would complain about as much as with amazing spider-man.

4. I enjoyed the show. Twice.

   I let the show loop on my media player while I engaged in geeky activities. In tonight’s case, that would be putting the finishing touches on a Pong game that I’m making as kind of a gag gift. Now, the thing is not a technical masterpiece and it’s a thing cobbled together on the virtual equivalent of one of those electronic kits that you might find at a hobby store, but it’s something I like to play with and it’s mine. I was also watching the clock: at quarter to five in my neighborhood, the moon set and I wanted to attempt a photograph of star trails. I had time for a single half-hour exposure before sunrise.

   Are these things I can talk about with my co-workers? I presently work at a company that knows _ALL_ about pat answers; the company lives and dies by them. If you don’t use the right pat answers in your work social life, you are a retard; I’ve heard that word thrown around a lot lately in the cool managerial crowd and their hangers-on. There is only a certain amount of tolerance for that which is out of the mainstream. It isn’t just comics; it’s anything outside that mainstream. This job in my experience is, unfortunately typical.

   I keep to myself a lot.

   @Mr. Bailey: I’ve seen the advert you mentioned. I wonder if the ad makers were less interested in comics and more interested in creating a punchline to the unspoken joke, “now that I have worked this hard, what do I do now?.” This punchline would also answer the question, “what is the most frivoulous thing that a person can do that the average American can understand, or at least be something the average American has seen before.” As mentioned in the podcast, if most Americans don’t read comic books, many of the characters are out in the air in the media, so comics are familiar. In another era, answer to the frivolous test would have been “goin’ fishin’,” complete with the peculiarly-spelled sign posted on the front door. I’m not sure if the average American would even consider fishing as a form or relaxation these days–or at least that form of fishing where it’s all about leaning back in a chair, perhaps with a beer, and with a stick and string next to the chair–with or without bait at the end of the string.

   @Mr. Fettinger: Man, I feel for you. I’m a lucky man these days–Mrs. Phibes is a gamer, likes manga, and isn’t afraid of American comics–but yeah, I’ve had problems in the past.

   and spideydude sounds like the biggest douche bag try hard ever eva. umm err asshat.. or sumfin. Posts some more pictures of you being awesome. not.
