Spidey Memories#69

Goodness Bertone has been slacking on these “Spidey Memories”! Here is one that you all heard about when it was presented on the “Spider-Jeopardy” episode. Here is the page in question where Mary Jane gives the only thought balloon she has during Stan Lee’s original run (I’m not counting Stan’s returns for various anniversaries).

Now I just need to cook up some “Spidey Revisions” “Finding Gwen Stacy’s” and “Clone Pics of the day” for Zach….

  1. This panel’s been reprinted a lot on some sites, shows to me how much of a frickin’ project Peter and MJ considered Gwen to be.

  2. Dude, I’m very sorry that you were insulted. The comment I made was meant as a gentle ribbing and nothing more. I was truly implying nothing. Also, I never saw your post so thank you for the congradulations.

  3. Scooter, next time PM me or do this a different way. I don’t like what you are implying here. If I had time to post this? This is my first one since November, two months ago which is far more overdue than the question you asked one month ago. It’s in addition to many overdue blogs, EXAMINER, podcasts and real life work stuff that is far more overdue like trying to stop my afternoon clients from killing eachother. I DID reply to you in the topic in question. I DID tell you that you stumped you and congratulated you on it. I said if I had to research it I obviously didn’t know the answer so that you stumped me. I congratulated you for it then and I am congratulating you for it now because it was a good question (really).

I don’t mind you quizzing me and I don’t mind you stumping me. I think it’s great that you did and I welcome you the opportunity to do it again in the future…but saying “I guess if you had time to post this, you probably took the time to research the question that I had asked and knew the correct answer before putting this up.” is insulting to me. I hold no ill will towards you and look forward to some more great interactions, but what I do with my online time isn’t to be criticized.

  4. Gee, Bertone, you accepted my challenge a month ago and than mysteriously forgot all about it. I guess if you had time to post this, you probably took the time to research the question that I had asked and knew the correct answer before putting this up. I eagerly await your response.

  5. I saw that same JEOPARDY episode too it was phrased as this for the format of the answer “She’s been in Spider-Man comics his girlfriend & his wife for thousand dollars I believe it was? The funny thing was ALEX wasn’t sure if Andrew the contest was right when he said Mary Jane Parker but the clue board guys accepted the response anyway.

  7. As I read this post, I happened to be watching Jeopardy and tonight’s episode had a question about Peter Parker’s long-time girlfriend whom he married, or something like that. What a coincidence!! The answer was Mary Jane of course.
