MTV spoke with Willem Dafoe about a possible return to the Spider-Man franchise. He sounds game, but do we want him back?

We need him for the clone saga so….
I’m game for the return of the Green Goblin and stormin Norman. Remember the Goblin is not dead as well as Doc Ock. Electro would be a nice opening for 4 or The Shocker getting his a$$ handed to him while robbing a bank in Manhattan, before the opening credits. Sinster Six would look sweet for the big screen treatment. NO Kraven, Period. According to the comics, his a$$ is dead, leave it alone. No more Venom, Period. Remember, Spider-Man has plenty of good villains and story lines to work with….. I need A Spider-man movie with top notch action, Real Time Stunts and ease up on the CGI a little bit and cracking the jokes, just like in the comics.
Flashback, cameo yes! Repeating the same mistake as the comics….NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
….uh ya we want him back!
With only one film every few years, I’d kinda rather some more villains were given a chance, really. But DeFoe was good in the part and I certainly wouldn’t bitch if they did bring him back.
If it’s a cameo, fine. If there’s a Gwen Stacy themed storyline, fine. Be true to the comics storyline and have him kill her off. Otherwise, clear the stage and let other villians get the spotlight and (possibly) some recognition by the general movie public.
Dafoe’s return? Good. Same suit as before? Bad. Revamp the suit into something with a movable mask? DEFINITELY. Nuff said.
Yeah, I’m all for Dafoe or Molina to return no matter how BS the explanation would be. It’s freakin’ COMICS man!
To quote Green Goblin in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2: “It’s Goblin time! Bwahahahah!!!”
BRING HIM BACK! Easily the best villain of the enire series, all we need is a better outfit. Don’t risk having an unknown (to the public) villain like Kraven or Vulture in 4. Gobby is the best and deserves another shot. And besides, Defoe is amazing!
O0o0o0oh nI never thought of him returning in a Peter Nightmare! That’d be awesome!
I’d Like for Kraven to drug him, then get a 20 minute battle with William Defoe in a more monstorous verson of the goblin suit.
I don’t want Spider-Man vs. Green Goblin round 2. But if this is about him making another cameo, then yeah I can see him showing up in Peter’s nightmares or something like that
I would LOVE for Dafoe to return. I just hope they revamp the suit…if we can’t have that at least give Spidey his trademark humor!!!
are you crazy??? Of course we do!!!!! Unless, JR is available, than Dafoe can stand aside! 😉
