Here’s the latest puzzle piece. What does it all mean? Who is Peter reaching for in the picture?

I hope this is a sign I can start picking up the book again.
Spidey/MJ/Lizard love triangle.
that’s definitely the juggernaut right below her passed out in front of a defeated looking spidey
But it’s not the same dress she wore in Annual #21!!!
Did a bit of quick splicing together, here’s the full version

let’s just hope the year of spider-man isn’t a year full of bulls@*t.Because I’m almost at the point of never reading Spider-man ever again.fingers crossed that never happens.
Holy Crap, the internet just broke! http://marvel.com/images/634277./from/content.story.10789
MJ’s back baby!
do you see the other hand that peter wants to catchs? ITS MJ!!! like the one more day cover, but reunited.
EDIT: “All right i’ll bring the Spider-Marriage, Just Don’t Kill Me!!” (Sobs uncontrollably)
Who”s Carlie Cooper? im playing! I think Santa Clause got my letter and kick Joey Q’s Ass in the Middle of Marvel Offices. And made him say “All Right i’ll bring Back Now about Spectacular Spider-Man TV Show…
Just like to give a shout out to Cyberghostface for posting my comment on scans daily. And when I see comments on there which say “Who’s Carlie Cooper?” all I can say is “I rest my case.”
Wouldnt it be a kick if the woman Peter’s kissing IS MJ, but she’s aged 50 years as a result of breaking Mephisto’s deal?
As some say, it’s Gwen Whitman…I mean Carlie Stacy..I mean some shitty fanfiction…I mean…
MJ but it’s cool since she got Mephisto in a head lock and there’s a contract that says OMD DEAL that he’s holding but it’s been ripped in half. While I’m at it, in between Mephisto’s other hand there’s a check made out to Sano for 10 Billion dollars. It’s fun to dream.
I say Aunt May. If you look at the hand it looks vauguely like one of those night gowns she tends to wear.
If it is MJ, prepare for the internet to snap.
@Nick MB–Well, first of all, remember how Carlie appeared to have different hair coloring in the beginning? First blond, then red, then brunette, then red, then auburn, you get the idea. Second, I don’t think she’s a bad character (certainly much better than Michelle Gonzales), but I think that it’s really telling that after she’s been in the books for two years with three times as many issues being produced just how so few people can barely identify her. And yet, she is supposed to be the character who Marvel wants to be Peter’s new love interest? And no offense, but there wasn’t that much spark between her and Peter to begin with, maybe because they were too much alike.
To be fair, they both have red-ish hair, its a slightly faded background image and the glasses do resemble a curve of the jigsaw puzzle. It’s true that MJ is fairly ingrained, but I don’t think it logically leads to Carlie being rubbish.
What I find particularly funny is that virtually every blog I go to which talks about these “Year of Spider-Man in 2010” images all think that Peter is kissing Mary Jane in that image despite the fact the woman in question is clearly wearing glasses. Yes, even Wired Magazine assumed this. Which, to me, speaks volumes about just how ingrained MJ being Peter’s main squeeze has become in the minds of popular culture even after One More Day and just what an underdeveloped cipher the character of Carlie Cooper really is even after two years.
I think he’s reaching for MJ, kind of like that OMD teaser. Since they aren’t a couple anymore though, I have no idea why…
MJ in a wedding dress.
That is Carlie he’s kissing & yup, most likely MJ he’s reaching for.
who’s he kissing in the background? is that carlie cooper?!?! and it looks like there’s someone reaching out to peter too
Who is Peter reaching out for, you ask? Well, maybe, as Christopher Daniel Barnes would likely say, it’s “MARY JANE!!!!!!!!!!”
