Citing “reliable sources,” Mania.com claims to reveal that Rachel McAdams of Wedding Crashers fame is a top contender to play Felicia Hardy in Spider-Man 4. They also mention that the studio is looking for someone to play an as-of-yet unnamed villain.

Rachel McAdams as the Black Cat? Sign me up!
I really like Rachel McAdams a lot! Ever since I’ve seen her in Hot Chick and Mean Girls, I’ve had the hots for her 😀 At first, I wanted her to play Gwen Stacy because she looks perfect for that part, but as far as Felicia Hardy/Black Cat is concerned: I’d be interested in how she portrayed the character through and through. She’s has a lovely face and a body to match it. Rachel doesn’t have big boobs like the comicbook counterpart, but her acting and how she carries herself would make up for that. So, I agree completely with her being cast for the role!
She can act, plus I could happily stare at her all day – so in my book, she’d be a good Cat.
I think she’s a better Felicia Hardy than Claire Absire!

I’d cast Tricia Helfer. We know she’s got the voice, and if you’ve seen BSG, you know she could physically pull it off.

She’s not the worst choice, and she can certainly act, but she seems a bit too short and a bit smaller in, um, a certain department compared to Felicia.
She’s cute (can certainly look the part), and a decent actress playing a similar role in the Sherlock Holmes film. So if they need a Black Cat, she would be a solid choice.
Rachel Mcadams? No way. Body wise, she fits perfectly. But I’m not so sure she can act Felicia so well. :S

I think this would be great. McAdams can act plus she’s hot! I never understood how fox owns the rights to the kingpin. I mean he started off as a spider-man villian and has always been so. He was even in that mtv spider-man cartoon.

Spidey 4 better turn out to be a harem comedy… It could be like Tenchi Muyo! except with a slightly more consistent amount of continuity…
Though I’m not sold on this movie until I see Bryce Dallas Howard bleach her hair again… My Cue Cullen moment from 06 must be reborn!
