  1. I imagine the “subplot pages” will probably cover the build up of the “I AM THE SPIDER” stuff and Aunt May’s stroke (Lifetheft -> Pursuit -> Shrieking), because it has a bearing on the clone saga even if it didn’t feature clones. Based on the list of issues that actually feature, it sounds like they’re doing a pretty complete reprint of the core titles from Power & Responsibility onwards.

  2. Does anyone think that because of Disney all but backing them that more “rare” trades like the “Clone saga” will start popping up?

  3. Those will o’the wisp, swarm, toyman, and dragon man issues are some of my favorite all time spider-man stories. i loved when the clone saga “over” and it was just stories of Ben in the suit. They better print those. That is my biggest gap as far as issues go. I think that is an important part of the clone saga.

  4. It’s like the alien costume collection they made a graphic novel out of. They didn’t print every story that Peter had the symbiote in, they simply printed the ones where it was the focal point of the story. The clone saga can also be done in this way.

  5. I think it is a mistake to not have the clone saga begun climaxed and resolved in one book. I don’t think anyone is going to want to buy 5 books so they don’t miss out on planet of the Symbiotes, the 1995 Spider-Man Christmas special, or Spider-Ben vs. Will O’the Wisp, Swarm, Toyman, and Dragon Man.

It should start with power and responsibility, go on with the exile returns, the trial of peter parker, and the mark of Kaine, whatever the one was where the 3rd parker showed up, leading up to the revelation in 226, the final adventure, Ben becoming Spider-Man, then end with Revelations. Honestly all the other stuff is fluff, INCLUDING maximum clonage.

  6. I put it in my cart but I don’t know if I am on board for this yet. I am very interested but I want to know what exactly is going to be included in future volumes and what isn’t. By using “subplot pages” they could easily throw out entire stories that happened during that time. Not that I am against that, I just want to know what I am getting into before I decide to buy 5 or 6 TPB’s which this will likely be.

  7. I just peed myself with excitement!!!! I can’t wait for this. I just read through all of myback issues last summer. I had to go through all my titles and put them in order and it was a huge hassle. and my friends always ask to borrow my comics and i dont feel comfortable letting people read my issues, but have no problem with the trades. Now my friends can read the Clone Saga.

  8. I wonder if they’ll reprint ” Web of Death” in the second volume, or if they’ll just do “subplot pages” for the story like it seems like they are doing with “The Shrieking” and just go right into “Smoke & Mirrors”.
