It’s amazing and spectacular how time flies when you’re having fun. It was back on August 8, 1998 when I decided it’d be fun to create a website. I was in college and thought it’d be fun to learn html and what better way than making my own Spider-Site. I had no idea I’d be still doing it 11 years later. If you’d like a little more history of the site and what it’s looked like over the years click here.
The site would not be worth the cost in time and expense if it wasn’t for the wonderful friends I’ve made over the years. We may never meet in person, but we all share a love of Spidey and this website gives us a place to share our passion.
So feel free to leave some birthday wishes on this post or leave a comment on this link on our message board.
Also feel free to share how you discovered the site and what brings ya back.

Happy Days Crawl Space
No; that’s not right
Happy Anniversary/Anniversaries CS
Happy belated crawlspace.
@TimTahoe “First happened in here waaay back when it started, and at the time you had a spider animation that crawled across the top of the page. Let me tell you, at 3am, that stupid thing looked real. Just about screamed.”
Yeah, that was mine. BD asked me to link to him, and if he could use the Animated GIF.
I joined the MB 5 years later.
Happy BDay and Congrats! Life would be totally uninteresting if this site did not exist!
Congratulations on 11 years!
happy effin bday crawlspace
Happy birthday crawl space. I discovered this site though JR’s articles myself.
I’ve been visiting ever since 2002, excellent site!
Congratulations BD! I found the site back in 2001 when I was looking for info on the Spider-Man movie, been coming here ever since.
First happened in here waaay back when it started, and at the time you had a spider animation that crawled across the top of the page. Let me tell you, at 3am, that stupid thing looked real. Just about screamed.
Anyway, this site has come a long way, due mainly to your obvious love for what you do. Keep up the good work, and thank you to everyone that has a hand in making this such a great place to “hang out”. I like puns.
Congratulations Brad. I really enjoy the podcast and the site.
PS
Your “it’d be fun to learn HTML” made me cry on the inside… I think the only worse phrase is “it’d be fun to put on rainbow tights and sit in the middle of Times Square”. =P
Wooooooot!! I discovered this through JR’s site actually! (can you say WIN/WIN?). Lets hear it for a billion more years!
Happy B-day! 11 years is a long time for a website.
I discovered the site two years ago, I think. The excellent reviews and podcast-interviews with comic book creators is what brings me back. Although I do enjoy the daily Spidey-comic from time to time.
