Ned Leeds, a supporting character I kind of miss, goes out like a wimp in "Amazing Spider-Man" issue 289.
Before Roderick Kingsley’s death in “Amazing Spider-Man” issue 649, he actually had a demise decades earlier. In “Web of Spider-Man” issue 29, Kingsley was shot and left for dead. When he reappeared in the 90’s […]

Hornacek^ completely agree with you. Roger stern is the man.
It is funny that the Ned Leeds Hobgoblin calls out for Spider-Man, who as for as NL knows is back in New York, but he’s about to be killed so in his desperation he calls out for help from his nemesis, who always seems to be around.
But at least Roger Stern returned and set the record straight as to the Hobgoblin’s real identity. I love how MJ talked to Peter and said “how could the Foreigner’s goons, with no super-strength, attack and kill the Hobgoblin, who had super-strength?” and Peter said “yeah, you’re right, that was pretty stupid of me to believe it back then.” God bless Hobgoblin-creator Roger Stern for coming back and saying “Ned Leeds the Hobgoblin? No, that’s just stupid. Let me tell you who it REALLY was.” A retcon I was happy with.
I wouldnt mind Marvel bringing back Leeds at some point down the line (marraige friendly timeline of course…wet dream)
Kevin…you’ve got your first mandate boy
JR had a great line about this in one of his articles — how the hell was Spider-Man supposed to hear that from ACROSS THE ATLANTIC OCEAN? 😉
