Although it’s probably not likely, Alfred Molina has expressed some desire to reprise his role as Doctor Octopus in the next Spider-Man movie. Apparently the producers told him that death in the Spider-Man world isn’t permanent. Read all about it here or here.

Doc Ock I’d only like to see if they are doing a movie about the Sinister Six, which they should save for the Sixth movie.
That would be cool. Maybe he will be the revealed to be the master planner at the end of this movie.
I hope they use him as a surprise bad guy leading the Sinister Six is Spiderman 6.
I’d like to see a return of the Doc with him creating a couple of classic henchmen. Maybe Electro, Rhino, or Scorpion. Then add in Connors turning into the Lizard for some random monster fun.
The opening on Spidey 3 also focused on his death shot…making me think he’d show up near the end.
I thought they kinda were already setting up to maybe use doc ock again. In part 3 you can see a bugle front page that says something like “Doc Ock Returns?!” or something, and it has a drawing of him coming outta the water i think.
It’s always the same old formula.
Peter finds conflict within himself because of Spidey.
Romantic drama between Peter and Mj.
Villain has emotional tie to Peter Parker.
Villain isn’t threatening enough to peter to attack him without kidnapping Mj.
Villain gets killed or kills himself in the end *with the exception of sandman.*
Wash rinse & repeat. bleh
I want someone that really poses a threat to SPIDER-MAN and his city. I really think peter’s transition into Spidey has come full circle….no need to retread or to add to him unless it’s his humor.
THEY DESPERATELY NEED WITTY BANTER!!! especially before they introduce it in another comic movie and THAT character becomes popular for it.
I’m conflicted, because while I think Molina was a great Doc Ock and I’d like to see him return, the movies with one well developed villain are always the best, and if its going to be just one I’d want it to be someone we’ve never seen before.
I guess they could just say that he was just unconscious, woke up, and swam to shore.
