Like I told Kevin…the idea of this shocking, progress-packed issue doesnt sit well with me at all. It goes against my philisophical beleifs on Peter Parker…but that said, he’s going to have a whale of a time explaining this all to you next month, and I’m glad that he’s exploring the history of Richard and Mary Parker. Who knows…I might even warm to this eventually. This is Spider-Man as it is meant to be…and trust Mr. Cushing to take a peice of crap and turn it into solid gold.
Why Marvel’s bozos tend to lurk and insult when they ought to be taking notes on how to write a comic I’ll never know.
Despite my distaste for Harry’s return, this is a far better original read than what getting with Amazing Spider-Man now. It not only respects the reader but the characters as well and does not fall back on cliches and sad editorial nostalgic dogma. Its a sad day that it takes a fan made comic to show people that Spider-Man can still be compelling and done right if you had people who actually cared about what they were doing with the character other than make him a loser who does not deserve to be happy, which what Marvel is telling its readers.
Can’t wait for the next one.
