  1. Hi folks, – found out about your current site by accident while roaming across the web this evening, and pleased that i did! I like the layout and colors, but I ought to point out that I’m having trouble when it loads. I’m using WannaBe 2 web browser for mac, and the top panel does not line up the right way. i’m confident I’ve employed exactly the same design on a customer’s web-site, but the menu seems all straight on mine. I think the fault is with my browser and I guess it’s about time to update!

  2. Im so very pissed by the choice of channel for US viewers. this is one of those channels you dont get with basic cable and i really loved and supported this show but. and we all know what deueches disney has been in terms of spider-man 90’s series still hasnt been released by seasons. not happy with the channel choice at all but glad they finally got the pick up fpr a new season

  3. it also seems that spidey won the award for the best TV Hero of the year!
“It had been a rough year for one of the greatest comic book characters ever. The rightfully beloved Spider-Man had suffered through a severely disappointing third installment in the previously great film series, which had many mocking the portrayal of the “dark” Peter Parker as an emo, dancing (!) fool. And in the comics, fans were dismayed over Marvel’s ill-conceived One More Day storyline, which had Peter essentially make a deal with the devil. But then came The Spectacular Spider-Man, and suddenly we were reminded why it’s so easy to love this character. This was the classic Peter Parker — a good hearted, brave kid, who also has plenty of angst to deal with, and yet always has a quip ready — sometimes funny, sometimes corny — while in the midst of a fight with a supervillain. When the show tackled the Venom storyline and a darker Peter, they did it in the right way — with Peter showing an ugly and violent side (no dancing!), before showing what a true hero he is when he rejected the black costume and fought his dark half in a trippy and clever battle within his own mind”.

  4. IGN has just announced its awards for best of many things in entertainment
the spectacular spider-man won the best animated series award of the year!
    it says:
“Fans were skeptical of this series when it was first announced. Many felt the designs looked too simplistic and there was an assumption the show would be aimed at a very young audience. But the men behind The Spectacular Spider-Man, notably Greg Weisman and Victor Cook, had a big surprise in store. Here is a Spidey series clearly made by true fans, with characters and references for the most hardcore and old school of comic book readers, yet it’s also a show that manages to incorporate decades of Spider-Man stories into something that feels fresh and exciting. The storylines are engaging and the show doesn’t shy from long-term story arcs. As for the animation, the characters might be simply designed, but their movement is anything but – the fight scenes in Spectacular live up to the title, as Spider-Man’s battles with foes like Doctor Octopus, The Lizard and Green Goblin are truly thrilling and cool, benefiting from the kind of clever choreography that several live-action superhero movies should be taking a page from.”

  5. oh God!
I am so waiting for season 2 to air!
this, without any doubt, is the best spider-man animated series ever!
    i cant wait!

  6. Ricochet? Like…Johnny Gallo Ricochet? WOW. Or is there an Enforcer Ricochet that I don’t know of?

  7. I’d say this is a pretty predictable list. They’re going through the obvious classics, with no real surprises that I can see other than maybe Richochet. I hope the Master Planner turns out to be someone other than Doc Ock. Otherwise, what’s the point of making it a mystery? I want to see more things like Harry turning out to be the first Goblin or Tombstone seeming to be the Big Man. The more twists that throw old fans for a loop, the better.

  8. I can’t wait for this!

So far I can see they’re adapting ASM# 42; where JJJ tried to convince his son to become a superhero, the gang war from the 70s with Ock and Hammerhead in ASM# 113-115, the issue Spidey got stuck in prison; ASM# 65 and my favorite Spidey story of all time, The Master Planner arc is being adapted here.
