Marvelous News and theFwoosh.com has some great pics of Spider-Toys coming up in late 2008/early 2009. Spider-Clone fans will get a kick out of this Ben Reilly figure. It’s part of the Marvel Legends line. If you guy all eight figures you can build the Avenger Ares. Other figures in that line include:
# Scarlet Spider – with etched webbing details, Ben Reilly has never looked so good in action figure form
# Vision – the Silver Surfer body from the Hasbro ML Fantastic Four wave gives him a sleek, almost-human look
# Human Torch – also leverages the HML F4 wave, but with two new “flame on!” decoes
# Ultimate War Machine – the HML 1 Iron Man comes with the black and gray color scheme and a new headsculpt under the helmet
# Heroes Reborn Iron Man – a completely new sculpt, and was almost the Iron Man highlight of the show
# Crossbones – you might not recognize it, but that’s Hulkling under that vest and impeccable new head sculpt
# Kang – making good on their promise, Hasbro is finding ways to reissue Legends from the Toy Biz run that were harder to find – Kang comes with an updated paint deco
# Guardian – the early production run figure on display is still getting his paint deco tweaked – I hope it comes out with that cherry red – Alpha Fans rejoice!
Hasbro is also putting out some new Spider-Man Classic figures. The new ones include a Thunderbolts Venom, a Tarantula, A McFarlane inspired Spider-Man and a clear Iron Spider suit.
And the Marvel Universe is getting smaller. The Marvel Legends line figures are around 6 inches tall, and Marvel is releasing a new line of 3 and 3/4 inch figures under the Marvel Universe line. Those figures will include
* Iron Man
* Spider-Man
* Silver Surfer
* Punisher
* Bullseye
* Black Panther
* Daredevil
* Human Torch (and Johnny Storm variant)
* Iron Man (Stealth Armor)
* Wolverine (X-Force)
* Ultimate Captain America
* Green Goblin
* Ronin
* Iron Fist (modern)
* Spider-Man (symbiote)
* Hand Ninjas
* Ms. Marvel (and classic variant)
* Thing
* Hobgoblin
* Moon Knight
* Grey Hulk
* Union Jack
* Thor (modern)
And the Marvel Select line has already made a figure for someone that hasn’t even been in a book yet. Yes, Anti-Venom will be coming to a store near you. How’s that for a quick turnaround?
Hey very nice blog!! I looked over your blog and it looks really good. Thanks.
i never heard of the tarantula
Anti Venom, already? That surprised me. Looks cool enough for a buy.
Same for most of the other new Spidey stuff.
What, no Scarlet Spider? Shame!
