I've been keeping tabs of the "grades" we give the books as a fun little side project to the podcast, and I should point out that not only has Zack given the modern stuff the best grades out of the panel so far, but he has given them the best grades by a significant margin. His modern "GPA" is 2.63, mine is 2.28, and Bertone's is 2.14. (bdog has only reviewed one modern issue, which he gave an A, so his modern "GPA" is 4.00.)

By the way, my own "GPA" for the modern and old issues is a wash. I've given the old stuff 2.34 and the new stuff 2.28.

Me too. And bdog is Canadian, so he doesn't count. :P

So one guy in 4 doesn't like Obama, boo hoo.

Another good esp. I don't agree with your reviews of 608,609, and 610. That is more just personal taste thing. I am really enjoying this podcast. Good work guys...

Hey Guys,

I just recently discovered the podcast and I am really enjoying so far, I'm only on episode 4, but I'm getting there.

Thanks to your show, I went back and bought all 5 issues that are out of Spider-Man Clone Saga.

I'm a long time supporter of Ben Reilly, so thanks again!

Re: Clone Saga Chronicles Podcast

Hey guys, just listen to your first episode today! Good work all around. I've been rereading Spidey from the beginning at my leisure and I'm still only in 1983! I'm actually thinking about skimming thru the Clone Saga since I remember not liking it when I tried to read it the first time. So I figured, hey, why not listen to your guy's take on it.

I never knew Gerry Conway was eighteen when he first started writing Amazing! That explains a lot to me, since I really never liked his writing style even in spite of The Night Gwen Died. It is very interesting that Conway was so unimpressed with Spidey's supporting cast that he would kill off so many of them!

Also, I never read Spec Annual # 8 either, but I guess most of that book can be ignored nowadays, eh? I didn't know that at some point in Spidey's mythos, Warren didn't create clones. That's hilarious! Man, do I love those earlier Carrion stories in Spectacular. They should of never even tried messing with them.

Well, that's all I got for now. Good work, guys. Looking forward to the next one which I listen to tomorrow, I think.
respectfully,
Aaron

Way to go Man!

Welcome to the madness.

It's been alot of fun for me and the gang.

For you guys that are caught up, here's the rundown of what's going to happen:

Next Episode: Maximum Cloneage: The B-Side Edition.
Because Bertone and Jason were ill on the original recording date, the two of them team up with Brandon DP [and some dude named zach] (who returns after a long hiatus) to cover their thoughts on the most talked about storyline of the Clone Saga! Join the four of them as they go through the issues and put the failure to rest.

Followed By: 1-on-1: Kevin Cushing begin_of_the_skype_highlighting     end_of_the_skype_highlighting

Kevin Cushing of the Crawl Space and of the Geoff Johns Podcast joins Zach in a discussion on Ben Reilly in the world of Crawl Space, the Webcomic.

After that, we're going to do a 3-5 part Detour into the Ultimate Clone Saga. (That will be decided into what parts are going to be in there. Kinda a different thing)

ULTIMATE CLONE SAGA

Zach Henderson and Jon M. Wilson [Amazing Spider-Man Classics] join the crew of Bertone[Amazing Spider-Man Classics], Zach, Jason and Don [Spectacular Webs, Amazing Spider-Man Classics], in a crossover of three podcasts: Teenaged Wasteland: An Ultimate Spider-Man Podcast, Amazing Spider-Man Classics, and Clone Saga Chronicles! Covering the storyline that ran from 98-105 and the Second Annual, the gang will have it on two feeds! Homages, laughter and more!

After those episodes are released, here's whats on deck:

1) Planet of the Symboites
2) Lost Years

These two mini series are included in the trades, and as such we're going to review them before we get winding down on the Scarlet Spider-era.

Unless something changes here's the rundown afterward:

1) Exiled: A four part series detailing Ben Reilly's past!
2) Time Bomb/Greatest Responsibility- two tales that end the era.... and begin the new one.
3)Virtial Mortaility/Cyberwar- AKA the Scarlet Spider Comics.

You fail math forever.

Also, I think you wanted "Quote" and not "Edit" when you added this:

Bertone, Jason, Zach and Brandon.

Eat me. :P

Let's be real here. It was like 1/4 talking about Crawl Space and 3/4 "Zach and Kevin talk about the Clone Saga"....and 1/8 BND bashing for good measure :P

It was a ton of fun, though! [smilie=spidey_cheers.gif]

The call in show is scheduled for when Zach can get a weekend day where it isn't his fathers birthday or a best friends wedding. Or, ya know, the holidays.

RIght now, I'm shooting for after the Scarlet Spider-era.

Thanks! Second episode was killer. You guys piqued my interested in the backup titled "The Double", despite the apparent horrible art and continuity holes. Always thought Judas The Traveler was lame too, but now I know JDM never got to finish with him.

Was cool hearing Brandon and Gerard perspectives. I've already met them on the board, yet it was like meeting them for the first time, although that's a little one-sided, i suppose. All in all, good work!

BND bashing?!?!? From who? You? No way! [smilie=spidey_lol.gif]

Look forward to listening to you guys hash stuff out.
