Do we need to see Spidey open the door, sit inside, get comfortable, close the door and proceed. It's just a comedic moment to entertain. So many movies and TV shows have scenes where a bus or large vehicle goes by and someone disappears with it, no explanation given and it's the same here. Picking this scene apart is really people just looking for flaws. If you didn't like the movie, fine but I think taking apart how Spidey got into a car is picking at straws which aren't really there.
No it's a straw that is there. I can suspend disbelieve to an extent...after all the movie has a guy swinging on webs.
However...scenes like the car scene or the subway (where Peter leaps onto the ceiling and NOBODY reacts even to think..."Wow! How odd?")...those scenes yank me right out of the movie because they come off as unrealistic even for the world the movie is portraying.
The crane scene is in the same catergory. It's cheesy and trying too hard to emulate what Raimi did. Spidey is so exhausted that he can't swing normally but then he shows up and has plenty of strength to battle the Lizard? Come on! By the way, is C. Thomas Howell the director's neighbor or something...? Seemed odd when he showed up.
