hey all just coming in to stop buy and let you know that i'm officially going to stop reading amazing at 700 and Iron Man will be the ONLY Marvel comic i pick up, this is a sad day but the recent movement of Breevhort and Slott just proves to be it's a fan-wank generation with Spider-man at the moment ( i don't mean to insult anyone but it does) and i may need to leave and come back when Slott leaves the book, because i have no faith or enjoyment in ANY Spider-man related comic at this current time.

I fear for the comic industry at the moment with the way Marvel is being run and DC i am only now picking up Smallville and Batgirl, ,comics were good pre- CIVIL WAR, after that its about EVENT EVENT EVENT.... Even in Spider-man. I'm worn out on events and this never ending battle, thiers no progression,VERY VERY SELECTIVE CONTINUITY and it seems the kids of the 70's don't like MARRIAGE any much. IS EVERYONE IN THE WORLD Single NO, so why write stories with NEARLY every one of your characters single...

Can't say I disagree. Once I get a job and enough money, I'll start buying omnibuses, although they seem to be either out of print or at really high prices. I don't want to support current Marvel, but aside from Slott, I also want to see Wacker, Brevoort, and Quesada in lesser positions. I know it's rather harsh to wish that someone was out of a job, but I think that those three are the biggest detriments to Spider-Man right now. Slott's run will come to an end some day, but the editors are harder to speculate on when they'll shift duties. I think that 700 can be the Big Time finale and the end of Slott's run, although since it's a milestone issue, chances are that it will be nothing more than that.

Marvel Digital comics unlimited is cheap for reading old and more current stuff if you don't mind reading on a screen rather than book in hand.

I actually do prefer reading a book, although I'm aware the digital comics are far more cheaper. I've tried reading some online comics, such as the X-Men: First Class tie-in comic from the Blu-ray or the Secret Invasion prologue, and I still prefer reading print.
