On Peter as an Everyman...considering how he's grown up, I don't think he can be a pure "everyman" anymore, considering his being an Avenger and the like, and the fact that him becoming a superhero during such a formative time in his life just makes him feel like a different person from most normal teens. I think it's more that he's an Outsider--he feels awkward and out of place in the regular world, where most people only have to worry about their bills and what they hear around the water cooler, and he feels awkward around the superheroes because he's wearing tights and is kinda awkward around people in general.
I never even heard of Jason Macondale. :O
Here's my question--should the Burglar count as a villain for Peter? I mean, to me, a villain is someone who purposefully challenges the hero on some scale, and has a purposeful, direct impact on the hero. The Burglar, though, is just some common thief, probably in it because he feels he has no other way of living. He is an important figure, but I would label him more as a foil than anything.
I'm definitely looking forward to Spider-Men--Bendis writing both Peter and Miles sounds like a lot of fun.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned that Ultimate Gwen Stacy theory when Spider-Men was first officially announced.

And JR, let's be real here...I think Norman would totally be a tighty-whiteys kind-of guy.

Good episode.
