That's not a hoodie--that's a cloak. Also, the change kinda surprised me too, but the more I thought about it, the more it makes sense--the original concept of Captain Marvel was to create a wish-fulfillment fantasy, displaying what would be the most ultimate, powerful, and cool-looking adult hero that kids would want to be like, and making it possible with a magic word.
When you think about it this way, which figure do you think more kids would consider badass and want to be more like--a circus strongman, or Ezio from the Assassins Creed games?

Oh and Jay Garrick is the latest in costume tragedy's
I like that costume too--it immediately recalls all the aspects of the original that made it unique and stand out, while making it feel like a modern, high performance suit.

DC and its writers have a tough time figuring out what to call the main DCU Earth. Robinson originally used terms like "Earth One" and "Earth Prime," but Newsarama inquired with DC editorial and was told that Robinson should have used "main DCU Earth." This is the second time a DC writer accidentally used the wrong name for the main DCU Earth in an interview with Newsarama.
Or, they just can't call it "Earth One" because of the graphic novel line. I think it would be funny if, should the two universes ever really encounter each other in a big way, they squabble at which one is going to be "Earth 2," because who would want to be that?

I did, and while the monologue was a little annoying, it did look rather fun.
Speaking of other DC books that came out this week--Action Comics was AMAZING. The way Superman pushed himself into space, the way he handled the choice given by "Brainiac" between his birth world and his home world, him actually suiting up in the costume for the first time...all great stuff.
Swamp Thing was also pretty goddamn epic with the way that Alec told off the Parlament of Trees, and when he turns into Swamp Thing at the end...oooh, damn near gave me chills.
