One of my favorite things has been the chatter from the various thugs. I like how they comment that Catwoman and Harley need to be careful running around because a lot of the inmates would love to rape them. Then they mention Poison Ivy "Yeah...we're not touching her." I love that. [smilie=spidey_lol.gif]

My favorite one is the guy who mentions Bludhaven. And the best part is the comments change and evolve the more you complete the game (Some stay the change, but they start mentioning more of the players on the board and try guessing whose behind what)

So...

I don't want to be Buzz Killington here, and I don't know if it warrants its own thread or if it's already been done somewhere else...

but what do you guys think about the claims that B:AC promotes sexism?

For reference:

I think the writers of the first two articles are either A) Looking for attention or B) Way too sensitive and don't actually understand true sexism. Neither option speaks very highly of them.

The psychotic, murdering, violent, criminals are looking at women as nothing more than objects?

Get the hell out of here. Really? I'm shocked I tell you! Shocked!

That's what murdering scum does. They dehumanize not only women but all the people they victimize whether they're male or female.

As for Batman throwing manhandling Harley, so far she's tried to blow him up, kicked him in the face, and beat him unconscious with a baseball bat. Batman threw here aside while she was covering for the Joker. Anyone who calls that sexist needs to learn what actual sexism is before they try to manufacture outrage.

Alright enough of that. Back to Arkham City now.

My copy should come today. If it doesn't... some poor innocent postman will feel my wrath.

EDIT: Or not as the arrival date is October 25th. Amazon can go screw themselves.

HARLEY QUINN IS PREGNANT!!!

Makes since actually why she didn't want to fight Batman, aside from getting blood on her new outfit.

@ tnr

It would be interesting to see where that goes, if anywhere.

@Tnr: I did not get those credits... I got one where one of Joker's messages play.
And dayum... There is some great set up going for the next game.

I think it's different endings every time, similar to the Bane, Croc, and Scarecrow endings of the first. Makes me wonder if they're going to try something Batman-Beyondish. Maybe ala Return of the Joker or something.

Well, I, uh, found the 3rd ending. Unlike the Joker or Harley calls, this one is from Oracle and proves that I'm a bad person.
If Catwoman decides not to rescue Batman and escape with the loot, credits roll right there and it's Oracle saying Bruce is dead, Wayne Manor has been compromised, Joker has won. :| Luckily, it let me retry :P

Jared Knabenbauer of ScrewAttack.com gave the game a 8.5/10 and recommended to "Buy It."

That was a pretty solid review. I agree with pretty much everything the reviewer said. I agree that all the side quests keep distracting you from the main story. The only thing I didn't agree with was that he kept mentioning how the basic gameplay was the same as Arkham Asylum. He says "that's not a bad thing" but then mentions it again like it was a bad thing. I thought it was a solid engine and I'm glad they didn't change it up too much except for a few tweaks. I'd rank it higher than an 8.5, but that's me.
