EoT is good, but this one will suck
I expect a rehash of SD combat system

Beenox released Shattered Dimensions

Which is basically this game, with larger hordes of enemies, and Spider-Men instead of turtles, but gameplay felt a little bit like Spider-Man with swinging and wall crawling, nothing more
And it's the worst Spider-Man game from Activsion
From Scimitar to Merciless, and I'm barely violent :p

My biggest problem with Edge of Time is that the game is just too short. If it has the length of Shattered Dimensions but the combat system of Edge of Time as well as some free-roaming thrown in, then I'll be satisfied. It seems that Beenox just loves halving the amount of Spider-Men every time they make a new game. Hopefully by limiting themselves to one Spidey, they can make a long game with an acceptable story.

It just feels weird that with Edge of Time being released last week to mass disappointment, why have Beenox develop a movie tie-in game in under a year? I'm really skeptical of this, and I would rather have Beenox pass it off as there 2012 game so that they can finally release their best Spider-Man game in 2013.

Okay, they got me.

I just have to wonder, in every depiction of that suit, from the trailer to fan-art, the suit looks...how to say? Meh? Average? Anyway, it doesn't look terrible, and doesn't look all great. Like, it can work in other mediums, beside live-action. Wonder why.

Okay, the trailer was definitely good, and I've heard that they've been working on this for a while. I'll need to let that sink in, but otherwise I'm still a bit skeptical.

I'm skeptical too, my favorite Spider-Man games are movie based, this one looks amazing and I got only positive info about it, being movie based, free roam, not restricted by movie story since it's something that happens after the film story ends. But hoping too much makes me see a game to dislike

Hey, there hasn't been a bad Spider-Man game yet, which can't be said for most other super hero franchises. Batman was the contender for being the worst, what with Dark Tomorrow. But Spider-Man has had a steady and lucrative career in the game franchise, and I think this will be great. Beenox has their shit together, and while EoT was a let down, it's by no definitions a bad game. Just a little too short and repetative. I feel that, while it may or may not be this game, Beenox is going to give us the Arkham City of Spider-Man games sooner or later. Fingers crossed for this though.

Think of the days of the NES and Sega Genesis, those have crap. I'd accept it more if you said "Activision Spidey games aren't bad"

I don't know what to say about this, haven't played a Batman game on the gamecube, but I'm sure that game is not worse than Batman Return/Revenge of the Joker on the NES/Genesis

I don't mind games being short, it gives more replay value in gameplay
