Shh! Stella said we can't talk about that! So let's talk about those scenes in Brokeback Mountain or Love and other Drugs. Both are better movies than Havoc and have some more of her...assets.

Joesph Gordon Levitt is in talks to play a role in in The Dark Knight Rises
Considering he's been a contender for the cast for awhile, it is highly likely he'll join the cast. Plus, he'll be reuniting with Nolan and Hardy, whom he worked with on Inception.
Would love to know who he is in talks for, since Riddler has been confirmed a no go and I think Robin was as well. (Would love to see a Levitt Nightwing though)

I have a feeling JGL will play Dick Grayson. They don't wanna do Robin but they can skip right to Nightwing for all I care. With Catwoman in the picture Chris Nolan may want to finish his trilogy by leaving Batman with his "Bat Family".

I've seen several websites mention the similarity, but Chris Nolan already confirmed a few months ago that the Joker will not appear in this film.

I think he also once said that Catwoman wouldn't appear. Just thought it was a possibility.

I think he should just bite the bullet and recast the Joker. If nothing else to set him up for the fourth one. There was more to do with the character.

JGL is too good an actor to just become a replacement for Heath Ledger. And since this is Nolan's last Batman I think he should just focus on BATMAN and not cause a cufuful over the Joker returning.

EDIT: I'm not against the Joker returning, I just think it should wait until the new creative team takes over.

Except you're not recasting Heath Ledger, you're recasting the Joker. Batman was recast several times in Burton series, and so has James Bond. It's about the character, but not the actor. However, I don't think the Joker needs to be in this new one in light of the fact that we've already got two villains already.

To be fair, that was just a god-awful film in general.

Anyway--my guess is JGL's playing an original character.

I don't think that was his fault.

Actually Michael Keaton was Batman in all of the films by Burton. Those that came after were Schumaker and should not be spoken of

Not his fault. Stephen Sommers is one of the worst directors in all of Hollywood. He's almost as bad as Michael Bay. Bad direction can ruin even a great actor like Anthony Hopkins.

That Cobra Commander would have been awful no matter who played him. Stephen Sommers has never made a movie that wasn't garbage.

Nolan, on the other hand, has never made a movie that wasn't great. He's this generation's Martin Scorsese... and he's used Levitt well enough before. He knows what he's doing.

I loved the first Mummy. Still do. Not gonna try to defend any of his others, though.
