I've taken a couple years of Judo in college, it's fine in a controlled sporting context but when someone is kicking and punching you, not so much. (Don't try busting this out in a bar fight. :( )

Besides, according to George, He-Man does get to use the flat side of his power sword to hit; that's an extra arm's length to strike with, Wonder Woman would have a hard time getting in close anyways.

That's it! He-man will bat her around flat of her sword. It gives him the slight edge that earns my vote.

Alright, I've spent the past few days watching some of the He-Man episodes. He seems to be much more agile than I remembered him before, and that, combined with his strength and sword (flat-ended, of course! ) earn him my vote.

And I've gotta say, this is a lot of what I love about Fight Club: It introduces me to characters, cartoons, and movies that I otherwise hadn't seen or heard of before, and makes me look into them. I liked this updated version...it kept pretty much everything I remember about the old cartoon, but improved on it. Thanks, Hambone! [smilie=spidey_thumbs.gif]
BTW, I love how they kept the little "The More You Know" segments at the end of each episode... [smilie=spidey_dude.gif] that made me laugh!

"Whether Aunt May dies or not isn't the question. If she dies, does it mean anything beyond a brief sales spike because collectors/speculators think they'll be able to make a profit selling the book later? That is the question. Back when, Stan and company won our hearts and minds. I cared about Spider-Man and the other Marvel characters as though they were friends. I cared every time Aunt May got sick. That's what good creative work does."

Wonder Woman tends to fight in the city or with the Justice League. He-Man is used to the rough terrain, Jungles and Swamps of Eternia. I think he has an advantage in this fight.

That's another valid point I didn't even touch on. The rougher terrain probably would in fact favor him, since Paradise Island is usually portrayed as much more idyllic. Not that WW couldn't handle fighting in any environment, but without the power of flight, I again come back to He-Man's bigger, stronger, and has more muscle mass, combined with enough fighting skills that he can match WW. He was trained by Man-At-Arms and Teela.

Good one, Hambone. I think I've said before that I like it when my fights are close because that means we did a good job setting an interesting match. If the timing was a little better and I wasn't in finals I could have been a little more active in the debate, but them's the breaks. I'll take the draw! [smilie=spidey_cheers.gif]

Good one guys. It's fitting that it came down to a draw since I almost had to flip a coin myself. [smilie=spidey_lol.gif] Hall of Fame bound!

Yeah, in all honesty I think if these two had met in a comic they'd probably fight for an hour, resulting in stalemate before realizing they were on the same side and teaming up to take down Hordak and Darkseid. Good match CC! Hope you did well on your finals btw! [smilie=spidey_cheers.gif]

Glad you liked it, it was easily one of my favorite Cartoon Network series. (Along with Venture Bros, Justice League and Space Ghost!) :D

By the way, you can buy the entire series-all 39 episodes-on dvd for about 10.99 from Amazon. Very cheap.

Yeah, that's how I see it going down too.
