CSA #7 Discussion thread

Postby Shadow116 » Sat Jul 03, 2010 10:45 pm

Discussion of the latest issues all goes down here.

And it didn't disappoint. Pulp/noir feel still going strong, all the mysteries deepen, not to mention I'm still curious what else could go down with these Skrulls. This surprisingly coming from a guy who got sick of Skrulls just looking at all the Secret Invasion hype.

Cannot wait for next issue Zach [smilie=spidey_thumbs.gif] [smilie=spidey_thumbs.gif] .
With great power there must also come great responsibility.

Awesome stuff Zach. Great suspense feel going on. Still waiting for that Scottish butler named Jon Smith to show up though

Good stuff as always, Zach! I'm digging the intrigue going on here. Definitely a new feel for something with the word "Avengers" in the title. And as for the Skrulls, well, this is already 10 times better than Secret Invasion. Keep up the good work!

Skrulls... pure prune-chinny goodness...

Damn, Gerard... I need to step up my game. or get back on it... I've been pre-occupied.

On another note, I finally got ONE bill out of the way. Take THAT, Kevin!!!

First the cover is wonderful. Captures the feel of the on-going story.

The story itself was full emotion and intelligence. Zach's writing flows with natural beats and little nods to certain ideas from classic Sci Fi literature. It doesn't bore with scientific jargon while at the same time gives you the impression these people can spout off Reed Richard's type of ideas. The inter-play between all these character is the key to this story and has you wanting to know more about these characters. Zach would just have to change a few minor things in these story in order to make them into a pitch to a company. Well done, sir.

Good issue Zach. All these Skrulls are up to no good and it looks like I might be one of them  or just driving them around because they pay good. The cover rocked. Gerard and Bdog knocked it out of the park.

I reead it... and I'm very confused as to what happened ...

Zach, I'm liking a lot of what you are doing, particularly with the characters, but the writing style is getting to the point where its making me not understand the plot :(

Well the basic plot is: Zach and Skrulls have a history, blow up a limo after getting captured on the way into New York. Stella and Kevin embrace, and the Skrulls are mainly out for revenge.

Next issue, there is a notably different style in each scene. Not taking away from what's worked, but shifiting it back to the first issue a bit. I know how the story will end in issue 10, so that's a scene that's been written out, which will tie HEAVILY into 'Season 2' and the Annual.
