Do you guys think the events that take place in the Marvel U (The Other, Civil War) should effect the Crawl Space U?

Well, I put "yes". BUt What I really mean is that there are certain things left aloen in the CSA Universe.

-Other: Because it didn't effect the Whole MU, I say we leave it at that, and if Spidey were to make an apperance, we'd not mention it.

In fact, I say we just have the Classic Spidey, really Pre Reboot Spidey in my opinion.

-Dissassembled: Well, we've had something simular with The CSA: No More arc that ran through New Dawn and Ended in Return, so I suppose it's better excusion than that abysmal arc to end Vol III/I of Avengers.

NA: Not being referenced by me. I have other theroies that go back farther that show what happened to the original Avengers.

Really, it's up to the writer. I mean... there's a good possibility that there is a Civil War on the Horizion for a certain group of CSAers...

Yes, that is a tease.

The reason I brought it up was becuase, I mean, the Civil War, is more or less a big deal. It is to me. And with the Civil War's SuperHero registration act, if its passed, should our characters feel the ripples from those waves?

Would our characters have to give up their identities in concordance with the new law? I honestly think some things, such as this, should affect CrawlSpace U, because at least in my upcoming stories, there are a great deal of references to Spider-Man, who's about to have a HUGE corner turn in the Marvel U.

I agree with SD. It really kinda depends on the writer. I've seen all kinds of fanfic grace the SCMB; some of it attempts a measure of continuity with other stories, while other parts clearly exist as one shots or outside continuity. In fact, I'd have to say more often than not, if any continuity is attempted within a story, its usually CSA continuity and not MARVEL related continuity. For what it's worth, I say go with what you want to write and express. If the civil war thing is important to you, then reflect it in your stories. But I don't think I'd want to force all CSA continuity to reflect MARVEL continuity. After all, let's face it, MARVEL sometimes has their collective heads up their @$$3$ and I wouldn't want to force CSA to follow in MARVEL's brickhead marketing ideas.

I think the events should not be ignored, they should be referenced in some light, but they are not neccessarly the focal point of the story...how important Civil War becomes should be left to the writer.

I do think they should affect the CS Universe. But, like some of you mentioned, to a certain extent. If the Civil War law is passed, then our characters, as heroes, may be affected in some way, at least to a certain degree. Say Spider doesn't reveal who he is, and helps save someone in a bad situation. Then we have an exchange like in the Spider-Man movie when Spidey saves that baby, and the cop said he'd be there when Spider-Man came back from 'saving' the Goblin.

Does that make any sense?

Seeing how I'm not quite a CSA yet, I don't know how much weight I carry here, but I would have to say that something on such a large scale like Civil War would be great to tie into the Crawl Space U. I mean, we don't need to, but it would make things very, very interesting and give us writers a new spin to work off of. Especially with the new CSA: West Coast thread, we have a lot of freedom to work with this in our own way,

Look for Crawl Space Avengers to be coming out soon.

If we are going to do the Civil War-like Event, I will tell you that it wouldn't happpen for CSA:WC Till probably March.

And, we kinda had our version of NEW Avnegers: Dissassembled with the CSA: Broken Ties.

Right now, we're mainly focusing on getting the feel for the characters new surroundings.

While I won't make promises, I will say that: Keep reading, adn Stay Tuned.

From a Storytelling standpoint, then yeah.

But It, to me, needs to make sense. IMO. There needs to be something even more drastic than Stantford. Something big. I mean BIG.

So yeah, if we do it, it'll be BIG.
