That's probably because it is an online exclusive. I get newsletters from them. Apparently that's only where they're sending the code.

Probably. They do a ton of online sales that don't carry over to the stores and vice-versa. But they never tell us anything about the online sales, so whenever we get a question or a phone call there's always that "uh buhh?" moment. I'm glad you were able to get a decent deal on GoWIII, though. I hope it lives up to the hype!

On another related sale from GameStop, it is "Game Days" until April 28, where a handful of games are marked down 50%, like Assassin's Creed II and Metal Gear Solid 4, just to name a few.

They actually put a ton of games on sale for Game Days. Between 360, PS3, Wii, DS, PSP and PC games, the markdown list is something like two and a half pages long. The catch is, there's usually only a relative handful of good ones. If anyone wants to know whether a particular game is on sale, feel free to ask.

As far as the April 28th end date, I've worked during three of these sales, and they almost always get extended for a couple weeks with increased discounts. That said it's still best to strike while the iron's hot, since they send us games we haven't seen in months and likely won't see in these quantities again.
