With Spider-Men, I agree it was a bit of an odd ending, but the way I look at it, the Mysterio plot was really just there to make the team-up happen. The whole point was for Miles to get Peter's permission to be Spider-Man. It was more about character interactions then anything.

Madame Julia as Kanye made me think of a surprisingly appropriate lyric from him for her: "I'm living in the future so my present is my past / my presence is a present, kiss my ass."

So far, I've only read a few pages of the current cosmic stuff online, and their recent team-up in Avengers Assemble, but I'm really wanting to get into Guardians of the Galaxy and the DnA Marvel Cosmic books.

Oh, and thanks for the kind words in regards to George's photoshop contest. One point of correction though was that the Romita image I submitted was from Marvel Age, not Marvel Saga. I'm old enough to remember buying MA off the rack. When did I get old? LOL

Mind Worm was epic. Spider-men sounds good I will have to check it out. I think it was a good idea to have Kev review the other titles so we get more of what's going on in the spiderverse.

This podcast starts out with a hysterical bio of the Mindworm! When Bertone does the recap and says, "baby Mindworm" and his powers seems to have people walk around in their underwear while sleepwalking had me laughing out loud. When I originally read the story, (was in Marvel Tales #115 in early 1980's) this was when I was totally getting into Spider-Man, reading Marvel Tales, ASM, Peter Parker and even Marvel Team-Up. What I thought was the most compelling part of the bio was when Bertone revealed that Marvel offered up the Mindworm character for Gerry to "own", instead of the Punisher.

Finally a review of Ultimate Spider-Man! I agree with Kev's review of an A for issue #14 and the artwork is very good since the "reboot" with Miles Morales. Although I was skeptical about this series and the "death of Peter Parker", I think the series has been terrific and is highly recommended.

I can't speak to the other reviews since I am not reading Scarlet Spider, Venom or Avenging Spider-Man.

I also liked how everyone had fun with Madame Web and related it to a sitcom. "Hilarity ensues when Madame's daughter tries to lie about her whereabouts, but her mom knows differently!" Wah-Wah-Wah...

Some great bio's to explore and I do have a suggestion to consider. Belladonna from the Stern Spectacular Spider-Man run. She was the primary villain and who was she tormenting? None other than Roderick Kingsley...that's right, the Hobgoblin. Funny to see how they originally portrayed him, far from him being a cold, calculating individual. If anything, they took many of her ruthless characteristics and integrated them into Roddy...

Hopefully I won't take another 3 months before I can get time to listen to these again...good stuff.
