They are amazing live, was at a show when that doc was being done.

Agreed. And Piper is light years ahead of Pepper in my book. Barrett's stuff just feels so much more organic, explorational then later floyd. It doesn't have the polish or scale of Water's architecture, but I feel it's the genesis. He is also one of the most underrarted guitarists there is. Not in a virtuostic sense, but in terms of creating a sound that is unmistakable. It's like he was painting sounds rather then playing notes. I think you'll understand what I mean having heard him. Gilmour was obviously heavily influenced. Barrett is my favorite album from the box-set.

I really got an appreciation for jazz and things of the like from watching Woody Allen films

Haven't heard much of her stuff, only know she's married to Elvis Costello. Will check her out...

You ever heard Big Star? Absoulutely love their Pop sensibility. Chilton is another guy who was underrated as a guitar player.

Are you talking about Dig?

If so I loved that film!

They are so much better than the Dandy warhals (puke)

Do you like Joy Division?

If so i would recommend the film Control.

Its a b&w indie film about Ian Curtis's life

Its amazing

Yeah Dig was the documentory. Love Joy Division, but have not seen Control. I have been intending to see it for the longest time, but it just gets out of my conciousness as time passes. Actually bought Closer in Prague when I needed a music fix travelling through europe lol.

Yeah Big Star is great, big influence on a band like the Replacements among others. That 70's Show opening song In the Street was a Big Star song of their first record #1 Record.. That version was performed by Cheap Trick. Radio CIty and Third Sister Lovers are my favorite records of theirs..

My favorite band is Poets of the Fall.
With great power there must also come great responsibility.
