Since I orginally posted this I've had some time to really listen to Clockwork Angels and let it sink in. The bottom line is I think this is one of the best Rush albums in a long time. Like most Rush albums, there's alot more going on here then you initially think. It takes a couple of listens before songs start sticking in your head. For me, nothing can ever top Rush's run from Caress of Steel to Moving pictures, but Clockwork Angels is up there. The themes in Clockwork Angels are similar to ones Peart has written about before (this time set in a steampunk world which is pretty cool. I also hear a book based on the music is coming out soon), but for some reason they seem really refreshing. I guess I didn't realize how much I wanted another concept album from Rush until I heard this.
The songs right now I can't get enough of are Clockwork Angels, Carnies, Wish them Well and the Garden.
