This was my first podcast after taking the summer off. Glad that Kevin is back. Thing is - I didn't know he left! LOL!

I've enjoyed his reviews on SS and looking forward to future reviews on the new Morbius series. Kev, is Morbius vol. 1, issues 1-32 worth checking out?

Great show guys, ASM #700 is going to be really interesting.

P.S. I heard from Ty Templeton that Slott is staying on ASM post #700.

Marvel Now...yeah, it's kind-of not really that big a deal since they do these every other year or so, but all these long-standing runs ending and fresher perspectives on all these characters ('cause let's face it, Bendis on Avengers and Fraction on Iron Man got stale a while ago) could do some good for the line. Looking forward to Hickman's Avengers and Remender's Captain America/Uncanny Avengers, and I'm curious about F4/FF, All-New X-Men, Thor, and Avengers Arena.

Hmm...I'd definitely be willing to try Remender on Spider-Man.

DC rebooting is sacrilage? Well, they've done it at least once before and tweaked it twice! :|

GUYS, you should to a read-through of the whole Spider-Man sex comic. It would be hilarious AND educational!

Thanks man!

Yes, the 90s Morbius comics are definitely worth checking out, but the quality definitely goes up and down through the series. There's some GREAT stuff and there's also some "what the hell is this now?" The major thing to be aware of if you're going to dive in is that there are a couple of very essential Midnight Sons line crossovers ("Midnight Massacre" and "Siege of Darkness" - the latter of which is 17 parts long). So, ya know - just understand what you're getting into if you do.

"The ground quakes and the heavens cry tears of blood when Kevin gives out his brand of Crawlspace justice. Babies cry, grown men avert their eyes, women pass out and even the wind gives pause. Kevin’s eyes glow and lightning crackles around them. It’s pretty epic and definitely not for the timid." - Michael Bailey

Mixed emotions. Sad to see George go. He is always hilarious and to the point. Super happy to have Kevin back on board.

One thing with renumbering is it makes reading back issues confusing at times. I have Marvel Digital Unlimited and every time they renumber it makes it diffiuclt where to go next.

Sounds like Brad had fun at the con. I got to meet Stan this summer too and it was amazing  I never realized how entertaining the cosplayers would be until I went to a con.

Fun introduction, as always
"Podcast particles?"
Welcome back Kevin, even if a second exit is possible
I'll miss George, and I asked him to stay :(
With collectibles that one says you don't discuss everything Spider-Man just cause you don't review...Miles? Weird, and it's weirder saying it's one of the best selling books
From Scimitar to Merciless, and I'm barely violent :p
Sweet Tooth Batman
BATMAN is an awesome movie

Yeah, that is a weird thing about renumbering. The other day I was answering a poll question on another podcast asking for listener's favorite time travel stories. I listed JMS' Happy Birthday story from Amazing, but had to put:

Amazing Spider-Man vol 2 #57-58
Amazing Spider-Man #500

I know why it was done, but could they have planned it in a way that the big anniversary issue wasn't the last part of the story!

Another great musical find to start off the podcast. Probably a huge hit in Wisconsin...

Nice comments on George, and here is a beverage toast to the fun he brings to the table. Welcome back Kev! [smilie=spidey_cheers.gif]

Is the CS podcast mostly negative? Well, I can see how some may interpret it that way, but from my vantage point it should get recognition for simply being honest. Like anything in life, not everyone is going to agree on if a form of entertainment is good and the Crawlspace Podcast is not any different. What makes me come back is the variety of opinions (positive or negative) on a particular issue or topic. Rarely do all the panel members universally agree on quality or enjoyment on every topic, but when this panel does agree that it is good, it is always well deservered.

As for Morbius, what a nice "present" for Kevin! For me, I will not be picking up the magazine since I just have never been very interested in his plight. For some reason I always saw his character of a Lizard derivative, a scientist trapped as a monster due to his own experiments. Although I am not as dismissive as JR, I am happy for Kev and hope he will enjoy it.

Please no rebooting of the issue numbering...all it does is create market confusion for potential new readers and frustrates the collector. :x

If Slott leaves, (which is a big if...), I would welcome Peter David and would start picking up ASM again. Gillen has been fun on Journey, so I would also welcome him as well, count me back in especially if MJ and Peter get back together.

To answer Kev's question, did the original New Mutants suck? No, it was pretty good while Bob McLeod was on the book.

I agree with Mrs. Crawlspace, you will not regret getting the picture with Stan the Man...

I agree, the reviewers are just honest and make an effort to be entertaining. How do people expect Brad to make things more positive? Ask the reviewers to lie and say they liked stuff they didn't? Only allow pros with no cons? Bring in someone who always like something? No, I think the CS panel will be more positive when Marvel is putting out consistently better material.

Exactly, the readers that come in for #1's usually leave in a few issues. I think you lose more old readers and miss out on possible new readers that are confused than you gain.

Peter David should get his shot on ASM. Bill Willingham might be good as well.

Yeah the New Mutants rocked in their first incarnation before Cable came and took them over.

I got Stan's autograph over 20 years ago, (he signed my ASM #300) and I don't regret it. However, I wish I had the foresight to bring a camera. Back then it would have been free! Nutz.

I got a pic and autograph. The pic is cooler to me.
