* The Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon has received the green light for a second season. The gang discusses the news and if the cartoon is aimed for anyone over 10 years old.

*JR discusses the Iron Patriot armor being in the Iron Man 3 movie. We also wonder what it would be like if Willem Dafoe would show up as Norman Osborn.

* A comic shop by the name of Caffeinated Comics has agreed to shoot a porn in the shop.

Only just started the show but love the opening song. I discovered it a few weeks back and was thinking of suggesting it for the podcast. Nice choice Brad.

Poor George is now the "porn expert" because he did one porn review.

There was no chance Norman would appear as Iron Patriot because Sony has the rights to the character.

I don't think having the movie Avengers on the cover was bad. I've seen much worse marketing ploys.

On Ultimate Spider-Man--I didn't hate the episodes I saw...but I still kinda stopped paying attention to it. I might try to find some of the episodes online, now that I think about it. I have a feeling that for a lot of kids, this is something they're going to enjoy watching as it comes out, but when they get older and they try to watch it again, they'll wonder what the fuck they were smoking. I had the same thing happen to me with the 90s series, quite frankly--loved it as a kid, couldn't even get through the first episode as a semi-adult.

As for the Iron Patriot armor--as much as Willem Dafoe and Robert Downey Jr. acting off each other would be amazing to see, there definitely wasn't a snowball's chance in hell of that happening. I initially thought

I fucking LOVED Extremis. It got Tony as a character down pat, the art was incredible, and I thought the power-set that Ellis gave Tony was a really interesting direction for him. I'm still kind-of annoyed that they're not playing more with that Post-Human idea for Tony.

My question is--why the hell would you have your luxury yacht in Lake Eerie?

"A British Guy to play Mandarin?" Kingsley is half-Indian--remember he got his Oscar for portraying Ghandi.

The comic shop allowing them to shoot porn...okay. I mean, Were I a customer there (and I probably would--coffee + comics? They'd have to stop me from living there), I think as long as no bodily fluids damaged any of the comics, I wouldn't have a problem with it--I'd probably be happy that the publicity from it makes the LCS thrive all the more.

I honestly don't believe that Quesada mentioned Spider-Man and masturbation in the same sentence. That's just way too fucking insane to believe.

I'm pretty sure Hill isn't running SHIELD--if I remember the book that introduced the new Fury/Coulson team to the 616 right, a woman named Daisy Johnson runs it right now. Also, you could probably argue that the UN or something is ordering SHIELD to do it under her duress.

I love this running joke about two of you playing Chinese Checkers and wrestling each other and such. Gets funnier every time.

To be fair to the Big Hero 6, they're probably going to be a bigger deal now considering that they're possibly going to be the first Marvel/Disney Animation movie.

I also like the MJ's club idea.

The Widow/Chameleon thing--I think it was less because they were both Russian and more that they were both Russian SPIES.

Certainly--I'm just saying it's a step up. Plus, considering that Cinematic Universe already has the Ten Rings, which was said was an international organization, that a half-Indian/half-British man is the one in charge who gets "The Mandarin's Rings of Power" from China and utilizes them?

I remember that quote vaguely but I am not going to google it for fear of what I might find by using those words together in a search.

I'm sure they put you on a list somewhere if they track down your search history and find "Spider-Man Joe Quesada masturbating."

To be fair, would people immediately think that the start of what would become a multi-billion dollar franchise culminating in The Avengers would come from Iron Man? Of course it's not a complete one-to-one comparison, but I think it's fair to say that a lot of the true big guns are things that Marvel Studios would prefer to make live-action films out of--and I think it's fair to say that if someone's lobbying to do something like Big Hero 6, it's because they truly believe they have a good story for it and would more likely be a passion project.

I'm not really hyped about it either, but I'm not going to dismiss it and not give it a chance just because it isn't "big enough."
