Then I'd be very wrong in saying "The system is broken"CrazyChris wrote:FSUSpiderFan wrote:Cool. What type of law are you going to practice?
I'm having a bit of a crisis in certainty regarding that. When I first went into law school I thought I wanted to be a prosecutor but I have become disillusioned with the justice system. Disillusioned is the wrong word. Our justice system is actually heinous beyond comprehension. Right now I know for a fact that a person can do more good as a criminal defense attorney for impoverished clients, but I've been doing that work for about a year now and I might have had one depressing experience too many. Right now I'm feeling a strong temptation to turn away from criminal law and do corporate or something. I have the grades to get a big firm job if I went for it. But I'm not sure I can turn away from criminal law now that I've seen what I've seen. I'd spend the rest of my life knowing that I've turned a blind eye.
I'm proud he's a fan of comic book superheroes even moreDonomark wrote:Sounds like a super hero origin to me
And when was a superhero emotionally balanced?MadGoblin wrote:No no no...it's a supervillain origin, or at the least a Frank Castle-esque origin. The failures and wickedness of a criminal justice system that he once placed his faith in have driven him mad. Remember, he doesn't go by the name "Emotionally Balanced Chris."
