That was a pretty funny moment altogether as he was creating the web-shooters. :D

Although, did he really create them or just steal the tech from Oscorp? That is one thing that bugged me.

I don't remember anything that indicated that he stole tech from Oscorp, and we see that he has some fairly complex inventions in his room, like the mechanized lock.

When he was in the lab he found the condensed web fluid and stole one of the containers. He may have innovated the shooters themselves and replicated the web fluid but he did not create the formula.

Richard Parker came up with them in Ultimate, right?

Although definitely not as big as TDK. There were several factors going into that making it as big as it did. Spider-Man 2 didn't perform as well as Spider-Man (although still made a ridiculous ton of money). I'm hoping for it to make more though it's not a definite.

Maybe not domestic, but international. TDK barely scratched by the billion mark, and needed a re-release to do it. Although WB said the re-release was for Oscar season, everyone knew the real reason. TASM 2 I think very definitelty has a chance to surpass it globally. Particularilly if TASM is on course for $800 m WW.

Spidey 2 made less because of release date. May is the better month. SM1 and SM3 botheset records in May. I think the July 4 week is overrated. Yes alot of people will see a film, but just as many will put money elsewhere at that time of year.

I was looking at international grosses for The Dark Knight, The Avengers and The Amazing Spider-Man, The Dark Knight is the only one where the domestic total is more than the international gross. And I'm glad someone else notes the re-release was the only reason it made a billion. It took TDK 6 months to make that amount of money and only by Warner Bros almost making it do so. TASM 2 will definitely make more internationally, the world loves Spider-Man.

Oh very true, I forgot about the release date. Looking at 2007, Pirates of the Caribbean 3 was No.1 highest grossing film of the year with Spider-Man 3 and Shrek the Third taking spots 3 and 4. Funny how all 3 were pretty bad as well :D

I'm not sure if that works--why would he want to steal anything there? I thought he was only trying to get to Conners and got bitten by the spider? Also, wouldn't have one of the guards noticed that he had one of the containers?

If this movie proved anything, it's that Oscorp has some crappy ass security. A teenager was able to sneak into their most secure areas and did not set off any alarms, even when he disturbed the experimental spiders. When he was in the lab he picked up a web cartridge that looked exactly like the one that he uses later on his web shooter. I can only conclude that he stole it.

Or maybe Richard Parker created them, since there were such prominent shots of spiders in his workplace.

That probably was once his lab in Oscorp.

Peter stole it because he never learned "With great power comes great responsibility"...all Peter got was some long rambling voicemail that sounded like nothing any person would ever call and leave as a message when looking for their lost nephew.
