This made me lol. If it's BND Lizard, I fear for Billy Connor's life.

Have we heard if Billy is going to be in this or is Curt going to be a swinging bachelor so he will be more easy for fans to relate to?

Ok, that image really does not look very good. Still, I don't think that there's too much to be gleamed from a shot as low quality as that one.

Not to mention, that as bad and shoddy the quality of that camera phone image, it still looks much better then this:



Willem Dafoe is a great actor, unfortunately we are unable to see much of his performanse as his face is covered in plastic.

Willem Dafoe is a really great actor and he freakin' practically made that movie with his great acting. This Rhys Ifans guy I remember him playing the kicker in The Replacements and he was one of the bad guys in Adam Sandler's Little Nicky. Haha! At least they have him as The Lizard and not the Green Goblin because those would be some seriously huge shoes to fill. And, yes, the Goblin's Power Ranger's mask thing didn't help but Dafoe's acting made up for it.

Rhys Ifans is a great actor. Just because you are not familiar with his overall work does not make him less so.

His shoes would not be difficult to fill at all. Not because he wasn't good, but because he was good in spite of what he had to work with. Namely a cartoon caricature of a great villian in a Power Ranger outfit.

I'm pretty sure Rhys will blow Dafoe's Goblin out of existence. Then the table will be set for the new true Goblin I'm sure we'll get in this new series.

It didn't buy any credibility from me either, it shouldn't have happened. Though it didn't have any impact on what I think of him as an actor either . An actor involved in these type of conflicts is nothing new.

The problem is that these kind antics eventually add enough that when you see him on screen you are reminded of them and distracted from the acting. He could be the best actor in the world and he keeps behaving like this off screen and I won't be able to appreciate it.

Alex Ross designs were bada** The production design images that people would post at the SHH boards back in the day were unbelievable. The only images I can find now are the concept designs which I believe were evolved to add armour to the character.

IMO the only way to do justice to this great character is to go for a hybrid of the ultimate and classic versions. Be true to the classic design, but have it more of a physical mutation. Make-up insted of a mask. This is the route I think (hope) they will go for the next Goblin. Even just looking at the Ross designs you can see the possibilities of this.

If it's the latter, I got to say the cloaked goblin with the sword doesn't do much for me at all. In my opinion, just use prosthetics and use this design

The cloaked Goblin was the design that was evolved to encorporate some body armor I believe, but yes that is the general design. The mask is fine for the comics but it doesn't translate to the screen. So yes, I agree, prosthetics/make-up is the route you go.

And that last design would be more then OK to me. It actually looks closer to one of the designs I remember, except the purple was eliminated in favor of something between a dark emerald and forest green. And it was where they incorporated the armor.

Agreed, I hate the Goblin hulk. That would be a disaster.



I like this design with the tech, just go for the mutation instead of the mask in the face area.
