I just bought Batman #1-10 and the Annual, emailed MOC to reorder #11-12 for me, and added the title to my pull list. They've just announced that Joker's returning for a big story starting in #13, and Snyder says it's going to be his Killing Joke or Arkham Asylum. His run on pre-boot Detective was so amazing I just can't miss this, so I'm all in.

Good decision, the book rocks!

BATMAN #0
DAREDEVIL #18
HELLBLAZER #295
PUNISHER #15
PUNISHER #16
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES ONGOING #14

I dropped a TON of books. The majority of DC's books have become shit. Animal Man and Swamp Thing started sooo strong...but they fizzled pretty quick. The latest issue of Swamp Thing was too decompressed for my liking. Incredible Hulk isn't an entertaining Jason Aaron book. Morning Glories has become one of the most annoying comics, in terms of plot, that I have read in my entire life. Plan on selling my entire run of the book.

And Kevin, I was planning on dumping Batman but when I heard about Joker coming back I thought better of it. It wasn't that I didn't like Batman, it's just that I'm more into buying back issues and trades anymore.

I'm currently pondering how to whittle down my list. With no trades, just regular comics, my cart is currently standing at over $80, and that's just unacceptable. It's because Marvel's double shipping damn near every book I buy this month, so my cart is practically doubled. Argh.

I'm also actually thinking about switching from MOC to a local shop because shipping packages to my new apt is such a hassle. It's not safe to leave packages at the door (I've already had one stolen from there, though thankfully it was returned by the kid's father a few days later), and the office will accept them, but the office is closed on Mondays and is by appointment only on Saturdays, so it could be hard to deliver there, too. There's a shop in Burbank that gives 25% off to pull list customers, so they may be getting my business once my current standing orders at MOC are filled. It would be sad to leave MOC through no fault of theirs, but such is life.

Post your $80 and I'll see if I can help. Kev, ship your stuff to my place and come get it. Win, Win :)

After doing the math, I found out I'm only saving 70 cents for the whole month with MOC when you include S&H as opposed the local shop with 25% off. So with the shipping hassles, I've decided to switch. Two more months of getting what I've already ordered in the mail from MOC, then I'll start making weekly trips to the shop again in September for the first time in several years. Gotta say - I'm actually looking forward to it. I kinda miss the Wednesday comic shop experience.

I subscribed to ASM through Marvel. But I plan to join the subscription service at a local comic shop. I'm planning to subscribe to batman, scarlet spiderman, ghostbusters and maybe avenging spiderman. I read issue 9 of avenging I was not that impressed but may give it another try

With the announcement of Neil Gaiman returning to Sandman next year, I decided it was finally time to get around to the original. I just ordered Sandman Vol. 1 from Amazon. It's been a long time coming. I am excited.

Had some extra cash, picked up Avenging Spider-Man #9 and Captain Marvel #1. Looks interesting; going from the cover to the interior art of Cap took me aback, though.

Just pre-ordered the Carnage U.S.A. trade paperback. I really enjoyed Family Feud, so I plan to pick up the sequel. I still don't have any 616 ongoings, but I'll be picking up Venom and Scarlet since they've been getting very good reception, but mainly because of Minimum Carnage. Hopefully they release some sort of prelude collecting the issues before Minimum Carnage.

Any pre-OMD trade recommendations? I'm sad that the first ASM omnibus is out of print, and I'm hesitant to get the second one without having the first. I'm tempted to pick up Maximum Carnage of the Todd McFarlane omnibus.

I was gonna say that the ASM Omnibus is still relatively cheap, but I checked Amazon and it goes for 200 bucks, minimum. Yikes. I'd recommend the Maximum Carnage only if you can get it cheap, since it's pretty light-weight. If you want to read the early stuff in another form, I'd recommend Untold Tales of Spider-Man Omnibus, which fills in some of the gaps. The Michelinie-McFarlane Omnibus is good too. Also, check out Paul Jenkins' Peter Parker: Spider-Man, if you want low key, fun Spidey stories.
