Meh. I only read ASM, Daredevil, Scarlet Spider, and Punisher. So, as long as there are no big shake ups in those creative teams I'm not really worried about it. Marvel kind of lost me with the 3.99 price tags and the double shipping of titles.

I think all of those are staying the same except for Punisher. Apparently those "War" ads they did a while back was for a Punisher: War Zone mini that finishes Rucka's run that will be about Frank taking on the Avengers.

Here's a pretty good interview with Jason Aaron about Thor: God of Thunder.

http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=40472

Obviously I'm going to be buying Iron Man because it's written by Kieron Gillen (which equals an automatic buy for me personally), but outside of that I think this book is the only Marvel NOW relaunch I'm planning to get (of the recently announced relaunches anyway). I'm genuinely interested in Aaron's concept for this book, which is impressive since I've never been a big fan of Thor's solo book (outside of the JMS/Gillen run) and I'm not a huge Jason Aaron buff, either. So I say kudos to the guy for getting my interest piqued.

Yeah, Thor sounds pretty cool with it's time-jumping and high concept and stuff. :)

Right now, I think the relaunched book I'm most looking forward to is Remender/Romita's Captain America--that just sounds like some fun, insane Kirby sci-fi stuff. Second is Fraction's Fantastic Four/FF, and as soon as we see more, I'm sure Hickman's Avengers will bump it's way to the top as well.

Anyway, speaking of interviews about these books, Newsarama has a pretty good one with the co-writers of the upcoming Deadpool book. Sounds kinda cool, especially the idea of the first arc, where basically Deadpool is given an assignment by SHIELD, but basically only because anyone else has too good of a reputation or dignity to do it. I also laughed at this particular bit, when asked about that careful balance between writing a book in a way that excites new and old fans alike:

Posehn: He's still a Merc with a Mouth. The only thing we've changed is that now he can fly — and let me finish — he has a penis that can see the future. Those are the things that everybody loves about Deadpool, right?

That said, a bit of (rumored) bad news: X-Force may be getting a relaunch by Daniel Way.

Way is the current writer of Deadpool, so I guess it makes sense, but hasn't his run been not all that remarkable, and wasn't his Venom series pretty bad?

Ale Garza seems to be an artist like J. Scott Campbell. It's not bad, but it's a typical oversexualization of women, and I can't seem to find much art of his male characters, and the few I do find don't seem all that notable.

R.I.P. Uncanny X-Force.

Please don't happen. For the love of God. We just got rid of Way on Deadpool. I don't want him on Deadpool again!

And here's a good interview for Uncanny Avengers. Here's the real interesting highlights:

* The Red Skull, while insane in his hatred and desire for violence, isn't crazy enough to take on a team of Avengers and X-Men by himself. He will have a group of augmented humans with a hatred of Mutants who he calls his S-Men. To that end, Remender calls him an "evil Charles Xavier."

* Since all his team-books so far have been clandestine and top secret, with this first arc, Remender goes to great lengths to show how the media sees the Uncanny Avengers and Mutants in general.

* And with that in mind, they say that the reason why Havok is leader is not only because of his experience, but because from a PR standpoint, he's the most clean and without any awful legacies than the others.

* Wolverine's reasons to be on the team is to change the way he is percieved, his methodology, and how he overall lives his life, and a lot of it comes out of what happens at the end of the "Final Execution" arc of Uncanny X-Force.

* A big component of the book will be the relationship between Scarlet Witch and Rogue.

* While these six will be the core members and the sole focus for the first arc, there will be others--two more in #5 and another at the start of the second arc. Remender will always make sure that the balance of Avengers and X-Men are equal.

* Remender is in for the long haul--he has a rough outline to up to #25, and enough loose ideas to make it to #100.

And here's a good interview by Fraction for Newsarama about Fantastic Four/FF.

It explains a little bit more about the basic premise of the Fantastic Four's trip, but the REALLY interesting thing is explaining more on what's going on in FF. First, Fraction makes it explicit that all the other kids will still be there--he just couldn't figure out a way to explain that concept to USA Today.

Second, he says what the FF's macro arc will be about outside of protecting the kids/NYC from all the old F4 rogues who see this as an opportunity to bring them down: a plot formulated by Scott Lang to destroy Doctor Doom in revenge for murdering his daughter, Stature. Not just kill him--completely wipe him from human history.

So, anyone remember Brubaker saying they would pretty much have to drag him off of Winter Soldier kicking and screaming? That didn't last long...

http://www.newsarama.com/comics/jason-latour-replaces-ed-brubaker-winter-soldier.html

I'm really sad. A Winter Soldier book by Ed Brubaker is exactly what I've wanted for years since the character was introduced, and now that I've got it (and it's excellent), it's going away after 14 issues. Who knows, maybe this new guy will do a great job. It's really, really strange, though, that they're giving this book to a writer with no established name whatsoever.

I'm sad too. Bru is one of my favorites and I was hoping he'd have a nice long Winter Soldier run.

I remember reading the double shipping is what he couldn't keep up with, which is too sad.

I was hoping he'd have a nice long run on another character that this website is named after.

Well, he does say that he would like to go back to Marvel soon--from the sounds of it, I'm guessing that not only does he have his creator-owned comics, but he probably has some TV/movie work on the way as well.

Well guess who is apparently going be getting the Marvel NOW! treatment in January. Hope you're sitting down Kevin Cushing because it's...

That was the sound of Kevin Cushing falling out of his chair and into a time dilation portal. No idea about the creative team, though.
