General toy picture thread

Postby Thrawn » Fri Feb 17, 2012 9:22 pm

I thought I'd make a generic thread where you can post pictures of any action figures or neat toys you pick up, be they Marvel or otherwise.

I don't buy many superhero toys, but I did recently pick up the Marvel Select Anti-Venom and Juggernaut. I had to have a Spider-Man to fight them, so I bought a $10 Spider-Man from Walmart. I was messing around with them a little bit. Nothing too extensive, but still fun.

Two more quick pics. Anti-Venom up-close:

Fabulous Spider-Man is fabulous:

MOTUC He-Man with Marvel Select Juggernaut:

Found some of the new Marvel Legends figures at Walmart. I picked up the Ghostrider and Iron Man. They had the entire set (Cap, Thor, Constricter, Klaw, Hope Summers) but the others just didn't do anything for me. They only had the Stealth Iron Man and Orange Flame Ghostrider variant, but they still looked cool.

Good articulation and sculpts on these guys.

Ghostrider has this nice paint effect on the upper bits of his armor. It's painted like the flames are lighting them up. It's subtle, but neat. Unfortunately, no accessories for Ghostrider.

This Iron Man is great, but he's a bit on the small side as far as scale goes.

Spider-Man Classics "McFarlane" Spider-Man.

Upgrade from my Walmart Spidey. I like this figure.

The head articulation is disappointing though. Not much up or down movement. The $10 Spidey from Walmart has better range of movement in the head. I love the mask and colors on this figure though. The base is awesome too. I love the deep red with the slight black wash on it.

Not Marvel or DC related, but I'm loving me some Kobra Khan.

Thrawn, while doing research for our Mumm-Ra VS. Skeletor fight, I came across this incredibly AWESOME Mumm-Ra figure action figure set from Mezco Toys.
Well, I just got it today, and had to share!

BTW, Mumm-Ra's Ever Living form is GIGANTIC!
Just to show the scale, I posed him with the McFarlane Spidey you posted earlier (Yeah, I've got him too! [smilie=spidey_cheers.gif] ).

Here he is next to my copy of Arkham City.

Oh, and another thing about Mumm-Ra,the Ever Living...HE GLOWS IN THE DARK! [smilie=spidey_not_kidding.gif]
(I tried to take a pic, but couldn't...take my word for it though, it's EPIC!)

"Whether Aunt May dies or not isn't the question. If she dies, does it mean anything beyond a brief sales spike because collectors/speculators think they'll be able to make a profit selling the book later? That is the question. Back when, Stan and company won our hearts and minds. I cared about Spider-Man and the other Marvel characters as though they were friends. I cared every time Aunt May got sick. That's what good creative work does."

WOW!

That is one awesome Mumm Ra figure! I love it. Mumm Ra holding Spidey is pretty funny. [smilie=spidey_lol.gif]
