"This week FSUSpiderFan challenged Berserkfury819, who accepted. As his champion, Berserkfury819 chose a rage powered monster and enemy of... well apparently everything... RED LANTERN ATROCITUS!"



"In response, FSUSpiderFan went with a hero who has a proven track record against Lanterns so far this season. Well - sort of! SILVER SURFER!"



"And with FSUSpiderFan's pick the Silver Surfer now moves to the "Two & Through" list for this season. Now, with our two combatants chosen it is time to find out where they will be facing one another. George Berryman tells me that he's the Death Star as tonight's fight venue."



"It's not a moon - it's a Space Station! Our combatants will be fighting around (and eventually probably through) the first Death Star.

"Head Man of the Red Lanterns against a former Herald of Galactus! Those are your choices! Who wins? Who loses? You decide. Vote NOW! Take us away, Elvis Presley!"

Yeah, sure. The Guardians of the Universe, omnipotent beings that have power on the same scale as Silver Surfer tried to kill/imprison Atrocitus and it still didn't work. Atrocitus survived when the manhunters wiped out every other living thing in his sector. A Black Lantern pulled his heart out and it did nothing. He can create constructs just like the Green Lanterns can, but his burn through everything. Sinestro, who is basically Hitler is space, is afraid of Atrocitus. His rage is unending, his power cannot be stopped. The only thing that can stop him temporarilly is a Blue Lantern, which Silver Surfer is not. Atrocitus will burn the Silver right off the Surfer and his cosmic surfboard.

EDIT: Especially since red lanterns get their power from 'Rage' and everything I've read about this dude says 'Endless, Unending Rage.'

Atrocituc looks pretty freaking cool. I don't know anything about him, but yeah...definitely cool. I need to know more about him before I vote. How was he stopped in the comics?

Also on the plus side, we're one more pick away from all Lanterns not named Jordan, Stewart, Gardner, or Rayner being on the Two and Through List. And Surfer is gone. Excellent. The Season is proceeding well.

When you get down to it, though Surfer has defeated many a Green Lantern, Atrocitus is NOT a Green Lantern. He is nigh unstoppable, and the only person he shows kindness to is his own Ch'p, his feral red lantern kitty cat, Dex Starr.

Oh yeah? Hm. I'm definitely leaning toward the Red Lantern guy, but I would like to hear a few more arguments before I vote. Especially in light of the fact that we all decided rather decisively that Superman would handily defeat the Silver Surfer. It appears this guy is more powerful than Superman.

Seriously though, Surfer can absorb the power of stars so he can feed off this guys boundless red energy.



Atrocitus has never faced the power cosmic which can destroy planets and stars.

Surfer can phase through his physical attacks and red constructs but even if he couldn't his skin could withstand a black hole.
Here he is in a fight within a black hole


If it comes to fisticuffs, Surfer is super strong and has gone to to toe with Hulk and Thor.

Also, Atrocitus will have trouble hitting him if he was solid because Surfer can travel on his board at super speed
"By exceeding 99% of the speed of light (186,000 miles per second), the Silver Surfer can shift himself into hyperspace, a dimension in which velocity is not limited by the speed of light" Silver Surfer could ram the guy and turn him splat him into particles or possibly split his atoms.

Surfer is familiar with this kind of evil and has defeated it. He has overcome Mephisto and Thanos.

Due to the extended site outage that took place during this fight the Commissioner has declared that both combatants will be given a win.

However, despite being a one vote difference this match does not qualify for the Hall of Fame as it ended with fewer with 10 votes. The Silver Surfer is also still off limits from further appearances in season two under the "Two & Through" rule.

"Aaaand we're back. "In light of the extended site outage that affected the Crawl Space this week, Commissioner Berryman has given wins to all four Fight Clubbers with matches that were interrupted. The outcome of the fight itself remains, and that means a Silver Surfer win over Atrocitus. But because of the disrupted voting time frame and the cutting off of discussion both Berserkfury819 and FSUSpiderFan come away with wins. FSUSpiderFan climbs to 6-2-1, securely in third place, while Berserkfury819 moves up to 2-1-1.

"Unfortunately, despite being a match with a one vote difference, the fight does not qualify for the Hall of Fame due to having less than ten votes.
