This was one of the things I had to check on before agreeing to the fight.
"Tampering magic: Dobby also displayed a talent for tampering with objects. This was shown when he tampered with a bludger forcing it to chase Harry hoping that if it hurt him badly enough he'd be sent home. Naturally Dobby was not intending to kill Harry; in fact he was trying to save him from Lucius Malfoy's plan to open the Chamber of Secrets."
It says he can tamper with objects and magical objects. There is no evidence that Dobby can manipulate anything mechanical or electronic. In fact as a house elf he would be bewildered by technology. Hell, he would have no clue by looking at Cameron that she wasn't just some pretty girl shooting at unless she took some damage and he saw the metal underneath.

Well, if by some miracle I win, I think I learned to use more conventional fighters.

I can see how Cameron would whoop Dobby's ass, but there are still plausible ways for him to defeat her.

Even though my esteemed opponent is ahead, I'm going to see this through.

So...Any arguments about making her destroy herself? That seems pretty foolproof to me.

Woot! Got another vote! Right now I think my I'm going with disarming and maybe sending bullets back. Next time I will remember to pick someone with actual fighting skills though

He can take her guns and send all the bullets back he wants. Which I don't think he could do at high velocity but that is irrelevant because bullets won't do shit to her.

Sorry, Tnr...I've gotta go with the invincible robo-babe. Sure, Dobby might be able to tamper with her circuits, but I don't think that will be nearly enough. It might slow her down a bit, but not enough to keep her from annihilating his elfin ass.

BTW, tnr, if there's one thing I've learned in FFFC, it's that you should NEVER GIVE UP! One well thought out argument might be all you need to completely sway the forum your way.

Yeah, this time I went for the unconventional mashup, I already have someone in mind for my next match, and hopefully, even though this was my first battle, I will learn from my fight club follies.

Some more debating!

House elves like Dobby are some of the most magical creatures in the Wizarding world and long ago they were enslaved out of fear of their power. Dobby, however, was freed by Harry Potter in Chamber of Secrets, so he now does as he pleases. When it isn't established how powerful they really are, Dobby naturally possesses abilities it'd take a wizard years to master, and he does so without even the need of a wand, or any possessions at all in fact. Dobby may come across as a weakling, this is just the nature of a house elf, to obey their wizard masters, but don't be fooled they are POWER HOUSES. In book 7, a every elf working in Hogwarts dogpiles the Death Eaters, very powerful Dark Wizards, and kick their asses.

So, if he disarms her off the bat, he can use short range apparation to evade her hand to hand attacks. Cameron, during season 2 was very glitchy. One small mistep, and Dobby would have the upper hand to take her out in (literally) a snap.

I had to go with the terminator. I love Dobby as a character, but I just see his naturally good personality working against him. He has the powers to destroy the terminator, but I just don't see him utilizing his abilities in that way very effectively in this matchup.

Sorry tnr.

Awesome match up. I've been flipping back and forth while reading the comments. I think utlimately Dobby would get the upper hand if we uncuffed the house elf potential, but since we're limiting it to just the things we've seen him do it may be harder. The teleporting away from damage and being able to disarm her will help, but I just can't see how he would be able to finish her off. I don't think his concussive blasts would be enough, but would he be able to crunch her into a ball... we haven't seen him do something like that but its got to be possible for him i'd assume

Dobby probably has more power, but most of his experience is in housekeeping, not combat. I went with Cameron.

Yeah, to be honest, FSU makes some great arguments I'm tempted to vote for Cameron too, lol.

Still, I still think Dobby would have the guts, and be resourceful enough. Remember that this is in Jabba's Palace, even if he can't disarm her, I'm sure he could raid a bounty hunter's artillery (He stole gillyweed from Professor Snape, one of the most B.A wizards in the books,) and while she is trying to get over her glitches, finish her off with a thermal detonator or something.

I mean come on, how can you argue with this?

Easily Dobby has no experience with technology or weaponry of our level let alone Star Wars. He would probably blow himself up before Cameron. If there is someone who can figure out how to use the advanced weaponry it's the cyborg from the future not the mystical elf who has never used a telephone. Nice to know I've almost convinced you to vote for my champion.

You aren't fighting a glitchy Cameron. This is Cameron fully functional just as she is not fighting Dobby before he was freed and beating his own head in every other minute. Dobby may be ablt to stave her off for a bit but he has no ability stop her. She'll just keep coming until he is terminated.

I have to say, you did get me to actually turn on my champion  I didn't consider Cameron adapting to Star Wars tech, and you did make a convincing argument.

With a few hours till the poll, I think it's clear you're going to win. Still, it was a good match, and we actually got to debate. Remember, this was also my first fight club match, and I learned a lot from it.

Well done my friend, well done. 8)

Had to go with the Terminator... some convincing arguments and I couldn't think of a way for Dobby to seal the deal

A few hours? Dude look at the poll it expires in over 30 hours. Yes I am winning 11 to 1 but there's still time.
